Foundry Supervisor - Canton, OH - JOB 26-00320 Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits 2nd Shift 3:00pm -11:00pm Seeking a high-caliber Foundry Supervisor to lead the 2nd-shift operations for a premier Steel Production Facility in Canton. This isn't just a "monitoring " role; we are looking for a floor-ready leader who can optimize production flow, mentor a unionized workforce, and maintain the high standards of a world-class foundry. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Plan and direct all foundry production and support activities, ensuring maximum utilization of personnel and equipment.

Operational Excellence: Design and implement lean-influenced operations to ensure products meet or exceed tight customer tolerances. Team Mentorship: Directly supervise and evaluate hourly employees, with a heavy emphasis on safety culture, quality workmanship, and company policy adherence. Workflow Management: Oversee the scrap yard and charge make-up, while coordinating with maintenance for timely equipment repairs.

Quality Control: Audit and maintain Foundry Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reduce scrap and improve yield. Requirements: Experience: 6+ years in Foundry practices OR a mix of Trade School and field experience. Leadership Background: Proven success supervising teams in a manufacturing environment (Foundry or Machine Shop preferred).

Technical Savvy: Deep knowledge of melting, pouring, and pit practices; ability to read blueprints and perform shop math. Labor Management: Experience working within Union/Company labor agreements is a significant plus. Specialized Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with Induction Furnace operations and centrifugal/static casting of iron rolls.
