We are currently hiring a Mechanical Technician to support operations at Glad Manufacturing in Amherst, VA.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 10-hour days, with overtime as needed.

Pay Range: $24-$32/per hour

What You'll Do
In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems in a commercial or industrial environment while ensuring all work meets applicable codes and safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Repair and replace mechanical equipment using hand and power tools
  • Work collaboratively with team members and follow direction from supervisors or project leads
  • Test mechanical systems and components to ensure proper functionality and safety
  • Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment, wiring, and fixtures
  • Use measuring tools, testing devices, and construction equipment as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and facility needs
What We're Looking For
  • 4 or more years of mechanical experience in a commercial or industrial setting, or equivalent training and education
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and follow detailed instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with mechanical codes and standards
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-focused
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including drug screen and background checks as required
