We are seeking a steady and people-centered HR Generalist – Leaves & Employee Relations. This role serves as the primary HR partner to our production teams and works alongside our HR Generalist – Payroll & Benefits, who partners with our administrative teams. 

While that role focuses on payroll, benefits, systems, and engagement logistics, this position leads the people side of HR — supporting employee relations, investigations, leave management, and production performance processes to ensure fairness, accountability, and consistency across our organization. 

Together — alongside our Talent Experience Coordinator and guided by the Head of HR — these roles form the foundation of our HR team, bringing complementary expertise and a shared commitment to supporting every employee.

What You’ll Do 

Employee Relations & Investigations 

  • Serve as the primary HR resource for employee relations matters 

  • Conduct workplace investigations with professionalism and objectivity 

  • Guide leaders through corrective action and documentation processes 

  • Ensure fairness, consistency, and compliance in all employee matters 

  • Escalate complex or high-risk issues to the Head of HR 

Temp Program Management 

  • Identify needs in partnership with Production leaders  

  • Coordination with Temp Companies to schedule interviews and confirm onboarding 

  • HRIS Temp Administration  

  • Administration of Watson’s Temp to Regular Process  

  • Temp Time Cards 

  • Temp Invoice Processing  

Production HR Partnership 

  • Serve as the primary HR partner to production leadership 

  • Provide day-to-day coaching and guidance on attendance, conduct, and performance 

  • Maintain a visible presence within our production environment 

  • Support leaders in building strong, accountable teams 

Production Performance Reviews (Biannual Owner) 

  • Own and coordinate the biannual production performance review cycle 

  • Support calibration conversations 

  • Track completion and identify performance trends 

Safety & Risk Alignment 

  • Partner with our Safety team to monitor injury trends and attendance patterns 

  • Identify people-related risk indicators 

  • Ensure alignment between safety protocols and HR practices 

Production Onboarding Completion 

  • Complete onboarding tasks for new production team members 

  • Ensure documentation accuracy in HRIS 

  • Reinforce attendance expectations and workplace standards 

HRIS Ownership 

  • Monthly Information Audits- Ensuring accuracy within the HRIS systems  

  • Employee information updates (Personal Action Forms)  

HR Support 

  • Support day to day HR operations  

  • Continuously look for ways to improve our HR processes  

  • Coaching and supporting team members and leaders  

  • Other duties as deemed necessary  

What you’ll need to know: 

  • 1- 3 years of HR experience in employee relations, compliance, or related field 

  • Working knowledge of workers’ compensation/ L&I  

  • Experience supporting investigations or corrective action processes 

  • Understanding of compliance documentation standards 

  • Comfort working in a manufacturing or operational environment
