What youll do
  • Serve as a technical leader, independently developing innovative technologies and file for patents 
  • Develop products or technologies for powder bleach lightener and hair color applications, which meet product performance, quality and timing requirements with minimal supervision. 
  • Independently conduct laboratory experiments. 
  • Create technical reports and effectively present experimental data and results.
  • Strong understanding of ingredient chemistries, formulations and consumer and stylist insights and product testing.
  • Strong understanding of the product development process and the details of each step of the process.
  • Mentor internal teams, provide technical mentoring to members of the department and R&D organization in the art of bleach development, testing and best lab practices
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of marketplace, products, trends, and participate in the development of future competitive strategies. 
  • Provides subject matter expert support regarding bleach development in providing technical support to manufacturing facilities. Promptly reports major issues or unexpected results as soon as identified 
  • Collaborates seamlessly with R&D's cross-function teams and business partners as well as customer teams during the development and commercialization of products either with Henkel Global R&D or with technical or industry organizations.
  • Develop products and work processes in accordance with Henkel SHE-Q Standards ensuring consumer safety and compliance with applicable regulations. 
  • Develop and follow workplace risk assessments, HAZOPs, SOPs, and safe lab practices to minimize exposure and environmental impactÂ
