Job Summary
We are seeking a File Clerk to join our team! This position is an in person full-time position. As a file clerk, you will be handling incoming and existing documentation, reading all documents, and determining where they belong within the filing system. You may also have to input information from the file into the computer system to catalog it, assist other staff members in finding the documentation they require and perform basic office support duties such as answering the phone or delivering messages. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, able to provide an efficient high level of administrative support to the staff, the lawyers and clients. 
Responsibilities 
  • Scan or read incoming documents to determine where they belong within the filing system
  • Physically file incoming documents to the proper location
  • Keep the filing basket up to date
  • Ensure files are well kept and if needing updating bringing to the attorney's attention
  • Input information into computer systems as needed
  • Conduct general office duties such as answering the phones, processing mail, and delivering messages, as needed
  • Assist others in the office with locating the necessary documents and files they need during the day
