General Description:
The Federal Account Director, Northeast Region will lead efforts to develop, communicate, and implement Strategic Business Plans for assigned accounts, while actively expanding corporate relationships with key oncology stakeholders. These stakeholders include VA/DOD Pharmacy Staff, medical directors, pharmacists, and other influential decision-makers. Customers include, but are not limited to, VA/DoD, IHS (Indian Health Services), PHS, AMSUS, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
The Federal Account Director will also foster close collaboration with Regional Sales Directors, Division Managers, Sales Account Managers, Market Access Marketing, and other market access colleagues to proactively remove barriers to product access.
Territory: This Field Role will cover the Northeast Region of the US.
Essential Functions of the job:
  • Drive and execute market access strategies for your assigned accounts, including VA/DoD, IHS, AMSUS, and FBOP.
  • Facilitate introductions to connect appropriate MVO colleagues with key stakeholders for clinical exchange opportunities.
  • Build and nurture strong corporate relationships with key account stakeholders.
  • Engage cross-functionally to implement corporate strategies with targeted accounts.
  • Coordinate with field sales management to improve access and remove entry barriers.
  • Lead the smooth implementation of contracts and agreements with assigned accounts, ensuring success at every step.
  • Proactively uncover partnership opportunities through market research, landscape analysis, and engaging customer interactions.

Required Qualifications:
  • BS Degree with 10+ years of pharmaceutical expertise.
  • 7+ years in corporate account management at a multi-state level, with a focus on VA oncology accounts.
  • Demonstrated success in Federal contracting and account management across multiple states.
  • Oncology therapeutic experience required; oral and IV oncology strongly preferred.
  • Biotech or pharmaceutical US marketplace launch experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, manage accounts effectively by objectively evaluating various opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of field market access issues, challenges, and successes.
  • You have a proven track record of success in account management.
  • You bring strong negotiating skills that create positive outcomes.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • While you will not have direct reports, you will collaborate at a high level with internal stakeholders to achieve outstanding results.

Travel:
  • Approximately 50% of time, which may include overnight stays and travel across multiple states as required to meet with assigned accounts and internal teams.

Salary Range: $189,300.00 - $249,300.00 annually

Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
