Job description

About this role:

The purpose of the Director, Executive Support and Conferencing Services is to curate a seamless, "invisible" digital experience for Gartner's C-Level leadership and 150 identified VIPs. You will act as the primary technical advisor to the executive suite, bridging the gap between complex enterprise IT and high-touch service delivery. By shifting the culture from reactive troubleshooting to proactive friction reduction, you ensure technology is a silent enabler rather than a distraction, particularly during high-stakes events like Board meetings and global earnings calls. Ultimately, you are the single point of accountability for the executive technology experience, prioritizing zero-downtime standards across office, home, and travel environments.

What you will do:

  • Predictive Health Monitoring: Utilize Nexthink and other tools to monitor the digital experience of our VIP environment. You will correlate endpoint, application, and network signals to identify any friction before it impacts an executive's workflow.
  • Shift the team's culture from reactive to proactive. You will hunt for systemic friction-a slow-loading app, a stuttering video feed, or a degrading battery-and remediate it behind the scenes.
  • When systemic issues arise, you don't just patch them; you partner with Engineering, Security, and Ops to drive permanent architectural improvements that harden the VIP experience.
  • Lead a specialized team dedicated to the 24/7 white-glove support of our Executive Leadership and identified VIPs.
  • You will navigate a matrixed organization, influencing Infrastructure, Digital workplace, Security, and App teams to prioritize and tailor solutions that meet VIP specific needs without compromising enterprise standards.
  • Deliver a high touch support model for our ELT and VIPs. You are the single point of accountability for their technology experience across office, home, and travel.
  • Act as the primary technical advisor to the C-Suite. You must communicate with poise, translating complex technical hurdles into clear, practical solutions.
  • Direct the planning and execution of all high-stakes meetings. From Board of Directors sessions to global earnings calls to EL meetings, you ensure the technology is flawlessly prepared, tested, and monitored. (Board meetings, Earnings Calls, Town Halls, Executive Meetings). If a mic fails or a screen flickers, your job is to ensure it never gets that far.
  • Implement rigorous health checks and "preventative maintenance" schedules for executive home offices, mobile devices, and office setups.
  • Stay ahead of the curve. If there is a new tool that can save the CEO 30 seconds a day or make a remote board meeting feel more immersive, you are responsible for identifying technologies and services and drive delivery.
  • Develop and tune a "VIP Early Warning System." You will create custom dashboards and alerts that trigger immediate action from your team the moment a VIP's device performance deviates from the gold standard.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting on the health of the VIP ecosystem, using data to prove that "Zero-Downtime" isn't a goal, but a standard.

What you will need:

  • Demonstrated ability to act as a primary technical advisor to the C-Suite, translating complex technical hurdles into clear, practical solutions with high professional poise.
  • Advanced technical knowledge across core technologies including M365 suites, enterprise Network infrastructure, and Security protocols to ensure a hardened and secure VIP environment.
  • Expertise in the planning, testing, and flawless execution of high-stakes digital events, including Board meetings, global earnings calls, and Town Halls.
  • Proven skill in navigating a matrixed organization to drive alignment across Infrastructure, Digital Workplace, Security, and App teams to meet VIP-specific needs.
  • Ability to develop and tune custom "VIP Early Warning Systems" using dashboards and alerts to maintain a zero-downtime standard.
  • Capability to partner with Engineering and Ops to drive permanent architectural improvements and harden the VIP experience when systemic issues arise.
  • Capacity to stay ahead of the curve by identifying and driving the delivery of new tools and services that enhance executive productivity and immersion.
  • You must have demonstrated success in shifting IT culture from reactive troubleshooting to proactive "friction reduction" by utilizing predictive health monitoring tools like Nexthink to identify and remediate issues behind the scenes
  • Experience developing operational intelligence through custom dashboards and alerting systems to ensure that "Zero-Downtime" remains the standard for the executive ecosystem.

Don't meet every single requirement? We encourage you to apply anyway. You might just be the right candidate for this, or other roles.

What you'll receive:

  • Competitive compensation.
  • Limitless growth and learning opportunities.
  • A collaborative and positive culture - join a diverse team of professionals that are as smart and driven as you.
  • A chance to make an impact - your work will contribute directly to our strategy.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of working from home and the energy of collaborating with peers in our dynamic offices.
  • 20+ PTO days plus holidays and floating holidays in your first year.
  • Extensive medical, dental insurance and vision plan.
  • 401K with corporate match, immediate vesting.
  • Health-and-wellness-related allowance programs.
  • Parental leave.
  • Tuition reimbursement.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Gartner Gives Charity Match.

And much more!

What are we:

  • Action Oriented - Deliver fast, get great results. We embrace the vision, roadmap to success and the action it takes to make it happen.
  • Intellectually Curious - Seek to learn, love to teach. We're humble and embrace respectful, radical candor with a mindset of ongoing professional and personal development.
  • Collaborative - One team, shared mission. We welcome feedback and understand the value of working together to accomplish more than what is possible individually.
