Position: Temporary Technical Support

Reports to: Manager of Technical Services

Classification: Part-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Mission: To assist Christian parents by helping equip students to embrace biblical truth, strive for academic excellence, and model Christ-like leadership to influence their homes, churches, and communities for Christ.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in collecting devices at the end-of-the school year and deploying devices throughout the summer
  • Assist staff and students who visit the technology office with questions regarding their school assigned device(s)
  • Maintains strict confidentiality (e.g., passwords and other system security features) to ensure network security
  • Responsible for cleaning classroom computers and monitors screens (inside and out)
Qualifications/Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Flexibility as the work and schedule changes day to day
  • Detailed oriented is critical
  • Communicate effectively in English with end-users (faculty, staff, students), vendors and Technical Support Specialists, using oral and written forms, providing a positive customer support experience
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and a detail-oriented approach to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral forms with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize support issues and respond accordingly
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • High level of confidentiality
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Regularly standing and walking around the campuses
  • Regularly sitting at a computer requiring repetitive finger motion and manual dexterity
  • Ability to communicate effectively, even in stressful situations
  • Periodically required to bend, reach, push and pull objects for various reasons
  • Occasional lifting of 10-20 pounds
  • Subject to frequent interruptions
