Job description

Loan Closing Intern

RCN Capital is a national, direct, private lender headquartered in South Windsor, CT. They are seeking a Closing Intern to join their Legal team and support our Attorney's, Closers and Title Examiners in our South Windsor, CT office. The Closing Intern will be responsible for supporting Legal staff reviewing title and closing documentation, entity documentation and other legal research as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Review title documents (commitment, closing protection letters, exception copies)
  • Prepare escrows for closings
  • Legal research
  • Entity review
  • Final loan document review

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask under pressure
  • At least 1 year of experience in a legal office setting preferred
  • Experience in real estate or real estate law is strongly preferred
  • Experience drafting legal documents preferred

Educational Paths of Interest:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Law, Business, or related field, or actively pursuing Paralegal Certification

Work Schedule:

  • Full time during internship - 40 hours/week
  • Onsite in either:
    • South Windsor, CT
    • Charlotte, NC
    • Los Angeles, CA
  • Standard schedule is Monday-Friday, 9AM to 6PM
