Are you a current Junior or Senior in college that is seeking an Internship with a Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, or Data Engineering Focus? If so, then look no more! Republic Finance is seeking Interns for our Credit Risk and Analytics team!
We are seeking a Portfolio Analyst Intern to join the Portfolio Credit Risk Management team. In this role, the intern will have the opportunity to learn about various business metrics crucial for managing our $2 billion portfolio. They will also run a variety of analytics to enhance originations for existing customers and improve the Lifetime Value (LTV). This position will report to the Senior Manager of Credit Risk Policies and will be based out of our office in Plano, TX. *Please note that this job is 2 or more days onsite (depending on experience).

  • Analyze credit portfolio performance, including delinquency, loss trends, and origination growth
  • Support the evaluation and monitoring of credit risk strategies and policies
  • Query and manipulate large datasets using SQL
  • Perform data analysis using tools such as Excel, Python, or R
  • Design and build dashboards and reporting to track key risk metrics and communicate insights
  • Prepare clear, data-driven summaries for stakeholders across risk, finance, and operations
  • Identify trends and recommend opportunities to improve credit performance and risk management strategies

Requirements
  • Completed (or expected to complete in May) bachelor's degree with a major in Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, or Data Engineering or have professional experience in the above mentioned areas.
  • Experience with SQL
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Python or R (preferred not required)
  • Experience with data visualization or dashboarding tools like Tableau or PowerBI (preferred not required)
  • Must meet acceptable standards for our employment credit check, criminal background check, and drug screen.
