The HOPTEK team is rapidly growing and is looking for a Software engineers interns for our Engineering , CX , Product and Operations departments. These roles will be a great learning experience for understanding the development and delivery of a portfolio of products.
Requirements
Role / Responsibilities :
Software/Product/CX Engineer intern will work with the software engineering , Product and CX teams on software design and development, testing of new features, and supporting software product engineering. Intern will work under the guidance of a senior tech lead. Internship at Hoptek could include a subset of the following:
  • Support product design for new software features and helping develop clear business requirements and software design documentation
  • Help develop code to support development of features to defined business & architectural requirements
  • Define & conduct testing & QA on new code developed, including code for test automation & bug tracking
  • Support management of databases, and drive data analysis as required
  • Support production code release, manage code pipelines and help tech leads with release of secure & scalable product features
  • Help with program management of Agile sprints, and tracking performance of Sprint burndown metrics
  • Test drive new software tools and processes to improve efficiency and speed of software engineering process

Experience & Skills Required:
  • Enrolled in a BS/MS program in Industrial Engr, Computer Science or related majors
  • Strong critical thinking to help solve problems and find actionable solutions
  • Willingness to learn and execute core software practices and design patterns from senior tech leads
  • Curiosity and interest to develop business understanding of industry and other parts of HOPTEK
  • Passionate about professional growth and self-improvement via constructive feedback
