ย
Portfolio Management and Compliance
ย  Manage the full post-signature lifecycle of an assigned portfolio segment, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations, MIGA policies, and institutional standards.
ย  Own portfolio execution for assigned projects: contract administration, amendments, waivers, consents, assignments, elections of coverage, and cancellations.
ย  Implement portfolio management plans and strategies across assigned projects, translating portfolio-level decisions from the Portfolio Manager into project-level actions.
ย  Coordinate across departments (Legal, Finance, E&S, Reinsurance, underwriting) on contract matters, ensuring timely feedback and follow-up.
ย  Ensure compliance with portfolio obligations including monitoring of regular reporting requirements (AMRs, financial statements, DEIs), premium payments, and coverage elections.

Risk Management and Early Warning
ย  Conduct due diligence and risk assessment for contract modifications, restructurings, and amendments, ensuring alignment with MIGA policies.
ย  Provide early warning signals for projects at risk: monitor covenant compliance, financial performance, political risk developments, and E&S triggers.
ย  Develop and maintain project-level risk assessments and contribute to portfolio-level risk reporting.
ย  Recommend and implement risk mitigation actions, including restructuring proposals, enhanced monitoring, or escalation to the Portfolio Manager and Senior Portfolio Officers.
ย  Support pre-claims monitoring and contribute to operational readiness for potential claims events in coordination with Legal (MIGLC).

Client Relationship Management
ย  Manage client relationships and ensure a high level of client satisfaction; negotiate changes in the contracts of guarantee with investors to ensure contracts are developed and documented in accordance with MIGA's policies and procedures while also satisfying the needs of clients.
ย  Connect with MIGA clients (in coordination with the Portfolio Manager, Senior Portfolio Officers, and Client Service Leaders) to maintain optimal MIGA coverage for existing projects.
ย  Proactively identify new business opportunities, upsell potential, and cross-selling opportunities with existing portfolio clients, feeding insights into the origination teams.
ย  Participate in selection of new business transactions with existing clients in MIGA portfolio. Provide formal portfolio-based input into pipeline selection and structuring decisions, drawing on portfolio experience and risk patterns.
ย  Maintain close contact with private sector investors, lenders and other institutions working on the development and implementation of MIGA projects in developing countries.

Pre-Claims and Evaluation Support
ย  Coordinate with MIGLC to represent MIGOP with respect to any pre-claims or claims issues; support MIGLC engagements on pre-claims from an operations perspective. Lead portfolio-side operational readiness for pre-claims scenarios, including distressed project playbooks.
ย  Identify and document evaluation findings and rate the guarantee projects on overall development outcomes, MIGA's effectiveness and the project's contribution to MIGA's financial results as part of the project evaluation report (PER) team.
ย  Collaborate with PER team colleagues to research, analyze and prepare evaluation reports.

Portfolio Analytics and Reporting
ย  Participate in strengthening MIGA's operational risk management and internal control processes, especially in areas related to underwriting and portfolio management.
ย  Assist the Portfolio Manager in various analytical reports and papers for MIGA's Management and the Board of Directors, including project modification papers to the Board of Directors for its concurrence, PRC/FAC memos; and provide input to quarterly EVP reports and annual Guarantee Portfolio paper.
