Job description

As an experienced Epic Credentialed professional, you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects without the extensive demands of travel. Project Delivery Model (PDM) is a talent model that is tailored specifically for long-term, client service delivery. Our Epic Credentialed Trainer will be a primary member of the Epic support team. This role is a hybrid role. PDM Epic Credential Trainer Practitioners are assigned to a home-based client location and will commute to deliver in-person instructor-led courses at onsite customer locations within the health system as assigned but will also deliver remote instructor lead courses, minimizing extensive travel. Work you'll do/Responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective Epic training to new hires and end users, both in-person and remotely. Engage with site operations and the Epic Training team to provide feedback and improve curriculum.
  • Work on some unique projects in our sector, you'll have the opportunity to improve the way health systems provide patient care through the support of delivering effective and functional Epic training to new hires and other end users in assigned Epic application working to maximize learning and retention for all end users based on their areas of specialization and job role. Your time will be spent not only delivering Epic training but also engaging with site operations and the Epic Training team to provide feedback on curriculum area opportunities.
  • Works closely with the Epic Training Team (Instructional Designers) for their applications to learn principles of adult learning, effective classroom teaching, and how to navigate the workflows of the respective applications.
  • Complete a rigorous credentialing program to meet Epic's requirements. Post-credentialing, deliver lessons as written and provide excellent customer service across all organizational levels. Once credentialed, Trainers are expected to deliver the lessons as written meeting the needs of the end users of the customer.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Educates and coaches end users in utilizing Epic EHR, which may include for assigned projects training delivery for go-live and elbow support.
  • Perform additional training support tasks such as ticket assignment, documenting LMS completion, and resolving Epic system issues. Participate in team meetings and coordinate with training teams for continuity of support..
  • Engages with end users to troubleshoot and resolve issues with the Epic system in a timely and professional manner as assigned.
  • Actively participate in team meetings to discuss team and project related activities, work tasks, and issues.
  • Provide verbal and written inputs to the Training Manager and project leadership, as required.
  • Coordinate with the offshore and onshore Training coordination team for continuity of training support.

Qualifications
Required

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Healthcare, Education, or Adult Learning or Education Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of previous Epic credentialed training experience to include facilitating virtual and onsite classroom learning in a healthcare setting. Demonstrated experience in a stand-up adult classroom training and one-on-one training.
  • Epic Credential Trainer Practitioners are assigned to a home-based client location and must commute to deliver in-person instructor-led courses at onsite customer locations within the health system as assigned but will also deliver remote instructor-led courses
  • Must have current and strong experience and as an Epic Credentialed Trainer credentialed in two or more applications: EpicCare Ambulatory, Epic Willow, Epic Beaker, Epic Radiant, Epic Cupid, EpicCare Inpatient Clinical Documentation, Optime/Anesthesia, Epic Resolute Hospital Billing, Epic Resolute Professional Billing, Grand Central and Prelude and/or Cadence
  • Hybrid role. Must be able to commute to customer locations within the health systems network (New York) to deliver instructor-led in-person training courses timely, as scheduled. Must be able to also deliver remote instructor-led courses
  • Experience in training in an EHR enterprise implementation environment or in an EHR installation
  • Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office tools, application software to include Learning Management Systems
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available 


Preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare operations, clinical environment, or healthcare IT setting
  • Experienced in ITIL service methodology, ServiceNow or other ticket systems.
  •  Experience working independently in remote work environments


The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
