JOB TITLE:                                                                         Entry Level Human Resources Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: The Entry Level Human Resources Assistant provides high-level administrative support to the Director of Human Resources and Executive Team. The HRA assists with the implementation of services, policies and programs. The HRA contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, training, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

 ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Reports to the Director of Human Resources to provide high-level logistical and administrative support.
  2. Administer, explain and understand respective HR policies, programs, standards, postings and procedures ensuring compliance measures and government regulations are met (i.e. COBRA, OSHA, EEO-1 Reporting, HIPAA guidelines, and 403(b) retirement savings plan).
  3. Assist with 403 (b) retirement savings plan (i.e. reporting, audits, enrollment and tracking).
  4. Manage and maintain the Credentialing & Personnel files.
  5. Assists with coordinating site visits for physicians, candidates and other applicants, including logistical arrangements.
  6. Assist with applicant tracking system, new hire orientation, the pre-employment process through utilizing multiple vendors to schedule drug tests, background checks, verify candidate credentials, offer letters, set up office space for new hires and order uniforms as part of the AccessHealth Onboarding process
  7. Ensure all required employee documentation is received in a timely fashion and accurately reflected in all of the appropriate systems.
  8. Assist with AccessHealth’s Performance Management process, to include verification and tracking of evaluations with all supervisors and managers.
  9. Assist with key HR projects (i.e. wellness initiatives, events, trainings, surveys, etc.).
  10. Assist with the preparation of reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the Human Resources Department.
  11. Assist with other duties as assigned. 

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent

PREFERRED: Course work in Human Resources and/or one year’s experience in Human Resources.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Confidentiality is a MUST!
  2. Minimum of 1 (one) years Human Resources experience in a variety of HR functions is strongly preferred.
  3. Ability to handle heavy interaction with employees in person, via email and by telephone.
  4. Demonstrated experience in new employee orientation and I-9 process.
  5. Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required; intermediate computer skills and experience with Paycom applicant tracking systems strongly preferred.
  6. Ability to organize work and follow instructions.
  7. Ability to coordinate fast-paced, heavy correspondence including confidential documents.
  8. Exceptional communication skills with ability to talk and write to a wide variety of individuals to secure hard to get, but necessary information.
  9. High ethical standards.
  10. Well-organized, attention to detail and self-directed.
