Customer Service Representative
This entry level Customer Service Representative accepts and processes payments for utilities, billing, and permits, and helps residents. This role serves as the front desk / call center for city services.
โข Answer phones, emails, and in-person questions from residents
โข Help citizens with billing, permits, or city services
โข Process payments and update accounts
โข Enter data into city systems
โข Resolve complaints or route them to the right department
โข Maintain records and reports
All other duties as required. This position is part of the City's Emergency Management Team and, as such, shall be expected to perform all duties that are assigned during an emergency management operation. Any additional compensation, above the normal weekly salary, shall be outlined by the City Manager in the City's Emergency Management Activation and Emergency Declaration. Failure to appear to perform emergency management assignments and to work assigned shifts as scheduled by the City's Emergency Management Personnel or individuals designated by the City Manager to assign such functions will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
โข High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
โข 1-2 years of relevant customer service experience, or an equivalent combination or education and experience may be considered.
