Job Description

Job Summary:

The Enterprise Manufacturing Applications Analyst is responsible for implementing, supporting, enhancing, optimizing, and maintaining our Manufacturing Execution Systems (Factory Logix, Solumina, Siemens, etc.), TIPQA Enterprise Quality Assurance System, and/or Product Lifecycle Management Systems (Windchill, Siemens, Arena, etc.) These applications manage work and quality processes for the manufacturing of highly engineered products. This role involves close collaboration with MES/QMS/PLM business teams and cross-functional IT teams to ensure optimal system performance, user experience, and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and implement MES, QMS, and/or PLM applications and interfaces to meet specific business needs.
  • Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements for multiple existing implementations of MES, QMS, and/or PLM systems across different Teledyne Business Units.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production support issues, collaboration with the Application Administrator and local IT, or escalating to the vendor's Technical Support as needed to address items in a timely manner.
  • Business and systems analysis resulting in documented business processes and requirements that meet multi-disciplined Quality, MES and manufacturing requirements.
  • Perform software configurations, as well as create test case/use cases, go-live plans and other items to successfully deliver major enhancements or new modules.
  • Develop training materials, conduct user training sessions, and create documentation for MES, QMS, and/or PLM solutions and business processes.
  • Independently manage small application related projects.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of the MES with other enterprise systems, such as ERP. Monitor and support data exchange between these applications and other systems like Costpoint, Dynamics AX, Infor XA, Dynafact, etc.
  • Implement and test application enhancements to improve performance and user experience.
  • Facilitate functional and IT testing as part of implementing patches or upgrades, while ensuring risk mitigation and smooth deployment.
  • Facilitate business reporting needs through creation and maintenance of dashboards, SSRS reports, Power BI, and other data requests.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, IT, and engineering teams to implement process improvements, support continuous initiatives, and drive operational excellence.
  • Work closely with other cross-functional team members to meet internal customer expectations and timelines.

Qualifications:

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting complex applications, ideally manufacturing related systems such as Factory Logix, Solumina, Siemens, TipQA, Windchill, Arena or similar MES/QMS/PLM platforms.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting MES, QMS, and/or PLM software, databases, and related operating systems.
  • Expertise in manufacturing principles and analytical problem solving.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and automation.
  • Proficiency with one or more of the following: SQL, SSRS, server administration.
  • The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with experience in quality and manufacturing process optimization using electronic systems and tools in highly regulated environments.
  • Working knowledge with concepts such as SSO, DNS, SSL certificates, and ports.
  • Knowledge of BOMS, Routings, Production Orders and Manufacturing Change Management.
  • Previous operational experience and a demonstrated track record of implementing operational improvements.
  • Exposure to wider IT functions like business intelligence & reporting, change management, training and learning management, network & Infrastructure operations and ITSM.

Salary Range:

$103,900.00-$138,500.000
