Job description

Acts as a technical liaison between the site users and the Information Systems department; troubleshoot, gathering information, developing the system to user needs, and working towards the goal of implementing and running successful system applications. Provides assistance in file maintenance, user security, system upgrades and implementation. Supports and troubleshoots systems as they pertain to the users interface and to the applications themselves. Provides primary EMR training to end users, as well as EMR training to physicians.

This position is primarily remote. However, the role requires occasional on-site presence to conduct training and support providers and clinic go-live implementations.

Responsibilities:ย 

  • Advocates for MANA's mission of providing compassionate, comprehensive, and quality healthcare
  • Ability to travel between clinic locations
  • Acts as the primary support of the EHR systems for the end users and physicians.
  • Identifies, diagnose, and resolves problems for users of EMR & related software and communicates with the user.
  • Perform eClinicalWorks system configuration and customization, File maintenance, and system administration (User Set Up).
  • Works with multidisciplinary project and operational staff to help implement, maintain, and improve the EHR.
  • Lead with application upgrades through support testing & training activities as directed. Testing new functionality in non-production environments.
  • Manage training projects for assigned application(s), including the design, development, delivery, evaluation, continuous improvement, optimization training, and/or other performance improvement and staff development with direction and supervision from the Training Leadership team.
  • Lead trainer on the EHR and related systems to all system users, including Providers.
  • Participates in training-related performance improvement initiatives and with maintaining training
    metrics.
  • Develop checklists by role for EHR training for new hires.
  • Coordinates logistics associated with training delivery preparation activities such as creating videos, end user documentation, and assembling printed materials, set-up, maintenance of training rooms, equipment preparation, post training clean-up, etc.
  • Assists in user support during and following go live.
  • Assists monitoring interface agents (for example, pathology, lab, etc.), combining duplicate accounts, eliminating duplicate encounters, etc.
  • Participates as a member of various project work groups, attends meetings as required and develops constructive work relationships with other IT team members.
  • Completes projects, assignments, and goals within desired timeframe.
  • Coordinate ongoing clinical site meetings for continuing education and training.
  • Performs any other related duties as required or assigned
