Description
As our EB Account Manager, you will collaborate with the EB Account Executive and Producer/Adviser to effectively manage and oversee all facets of client service, ensuring the delivery of thorough, accurate assistance, and effective problem resolution for clients.
Performance Expectations/Responsibilities
  • Collaborates closely with the Account Executive and Producer throughout the renewal and new business processes.
  • Provides day-to-day client service via phone, email, and in-person interactions, anticipating client needs and responding promptly to questions and issues.
  • Identifies, anticipates, and troubleshoots problems associated with the client's benefits program.
  • Ensures consistent and proactive communication with clients, Account Executive, and Employee Benefits Producer/Adviser.
  • Works closely with Producer/Adviser(s) and Account Executive to ensure the retention of existing accounts.
  • Prepares small group fully insured RFPs and proposals with minimal guidance.
  • Reviews and organizes quotes, including analysis based on cost, network, and benefits.
  • Creates a summary comparing the available options for the client, incorporating it into the standard Mountain West Employee Benefits Renewal Proposal.
  • Utilizes internal systems to (a) establish a system of continual "touches" for communicating with clients; (b) administers proactive communication to deliver changes regarding ACA and other industry changes when approved by Consultant or Client Executive. Examples of internal systems include, but are not limited to, ThinkHR, Zywave, Springbuk, Compliance Dashboard.
  • Efficiently and routinely uses the data management system (EPIC), including attaching necessary documentation/correspondence with clients, and correctly uses the Mountain West EB workflow to ensure accuracy and reliability of client data.
  • Prepares all open enrollment systems and materials, such as HR Connect, Benefits at a Glance/Benefit Guide, Total Compensation Statements, SBC, Flyers, etc., as requested by the client and outlined in Mountain West Client Service expectations.
  • Communicates and educates clients on the latest trends, concerns, and changes in the industry.

Required Skills
  • Preferred experience of 1-2 years in EB Account Management insurance.
  • Must hold a valid Colorado Life and Health Insurance license.

  • Proficient reasoning skills; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; adept at analyzing and interpreting complex and abstract situations.

Education/Training Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in utilizing a desktop or laptop computer, calculator, agency management system, and all Microsoft products, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook, is essential.
  • Must maintain an insurance license as mandated by the Colorado State Department of Insurance and Mountain West Insurance & Financial Services, LLC

  • Previous experience in insurance sales and insurance customer service
  • Prior experience in general sales and general customer service
