Job description


Zachry Engineering Corporation (ZEC) is currently looking for a talented and self-motivated Project Support Specialist II to join our Omaha, NE office. As a Project Support Specialist Team member, you will be responsible for document control activities, including handling the flow of documentation to and from our clients.
Responsibilities
  • Provide routine administrative services in support of engineering professionals working on a project team to include: Review correspondence, proposals, memos and emails for grammatical and formatting accuracy. Ensure documents adhere to company formatting, revision, and quality standards.
    • Developing, editing and supporting presentations via Microsoft PowerPoint or other presentation software.
    • Receive, review, log, and distribute incoming and outgoing documentation, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, transmittals, procedures, reports, and correspondence.
    • Assists with monitoring, tracking, and reporting on the status of project assignments to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with the approved project plans
  • Maintains project record keeping system; ensure that all records management/document practices are performed in accordance with procedures, policies and SOPs. Assist management with maintenance of document control procedures and best practices.
  • Perform office administration duties, including coordinating conference rooms, vehicles, and cleaning services; property management, new employee onboarding, office supply inventory and ordering, and event planning/support.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must have 1-3 years of project support, document control or similar experience.
  • Must be detail orientated and be able to recognize priority of deliverables for processing.
  • Strong technical skills needed in the following: Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, etc.) with intermediate to medium skills in Excel and Word.
  • Must possess excellent communication and written skills
  • Must have effective planning and organizational skills with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Must have problem solving skills, to strive to understand contributing factors, work to resolve complex situations with appropriate management.
  • Must be a self-starter and dependable. Able to meet committed deadlines, work independently, accountable for work, maintains focus, be punctual, and good attendance.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional attitude and work as a team member
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • 1 - 3 years of document control / project support experience in an engineering office or similar business environment
  • Experience with database entry or other Document Management Systems. Aconex is a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering documents and deliverables and can file accordingly.
  • Experience with file sharing (downloading, uploading, zip files)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • 1 - 3 years of document control / project support experience in an engineering office or similar business environment
  • Experience with database entry or other Document Management Systems. Aconex is a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering documents and deliverables and can file accordingly.
  • Experience with file sharing (downloading, uploading, zip files)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
