Job description

We're seeking an experienced Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion leader to collaborate across the organization to strengthen inclusive workplace culture, support leadership and employee learning, and advance workforce equity initiatives that foster belonging, engagement, and inclusion. In this role, you will help embed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles into organizational strategies, practices, and decision-making as the enterprise continues to grow and evolve.

The base pay range for this position in Western Washington varies between $133,100 - $218,600. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Arcora Foundation, Delta Dental of Washington, and TriForza Corp., intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.
Essential Responsibilities include the following: The list of responsibilities listed is not intended to be comprehensive. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Arcora Foundation, Delta Dental of Washington, and TriForza reserve the right to change the responsibilities at any time with or without notice.
  • Lead the development and evolution of enterprise Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategies and priorities, partnering across affiliate organizations to align approaches with workforce needs, operational priorities, and business objectives.
  • Support integration of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion priorities and accountability measures into enterprise planning, governance, operational processes, and the ongoing rhythm of the business.
  • Partner with the Health Equity team to liaise with our Community Advisory Council and support Health Equity Accreditation efforts.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the enterprise, serving as a trusted advisor on workforce inclusion, organizational culture, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion related priorities and opportunities.
  • Partner with senior leaders, HR, Talent, and cross-functional stakeholders to integrate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles into organizational planning, people practices, decision-making processes, and employee experience strategies.
  • Design and support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion governance, leadership learning, and capability-building initiatives for senior leadership and governance audiences, including Boards of Directors and executive teams.
  • Lead Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion learning and development initiatives for leaders, employees, and subcontractors - including Groundwater Framework, Trauma-Informed Care, and Cultural Competency training, in partnership with Learning & Development and Health Equity teams
  • Conduct analysis of workforce, employee lifecycle, and organizational data to identify trends, assess impacts, and inform strategies, priorities, and decision-making.
  • Identify organizational, workforce, operational, technology, and governance-related risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations that support sustainable and equitable outcomes.
  • Lead the continued growth, evolution, and organizational alignment of employee resource groups (ERGs), including governance, leadership development, engagement strategies, and long-term sustainability.
  • Advise leaders and teams on organizational change initiatives, workforce inclusion practices, and approaches that strengthen engagement, belonging, and inclusive leadership capabilities.
  • Partner with business, technology, data, and governance stakeholders to support equitable and inclusive approaches to technology strategy, AI governance, and enterprise data governance practices.
  • Monitor emerging workforce, technology, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion trends to inform organizational strategies, governance practices, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop and deliver Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion related insights, updates, and governance materials that support leadership decision-making, organizational accountability, and enterprise workforce strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to share leading practices, align approaches, and support workforce inclusion efforts across the enterprise.

  • 10 years of experience developing and implementing enterprise Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategies and workforce inclusion initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles into organizational planning, governance processes, workforce practices, and operational processes.
  • Strong workforce and organizational data analysis capabilities used to inform strategy development, decision-making, and enterprise priorities.
  • Expertise in developing and sustaining employee resource groups (ERGS) and similar employee community-building programs that strengthen engagement, belonging, leadership development, and organizational culture.
  • Background supporting governance, leadership engagement, enterprise accountability, or board-facing initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead organizational change and enterprise initiatives across complex cross-functional environments.
  • Familiarity with equitable approaches to technology strategy, AI governance, enterprise data governance, or workplace technologies.
  • Ability to develop governance materials, leadership reporting, strategic recommendations, or enterprise communications.
  • Experience designing, delivering, and supporting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion learning and development initiatives, including training, facilitation, and capability-building
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis capabilities used to identify organizational trends, assess impacts, and inform enterprise strategies and decision-making.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations in support of our vision that "all people can enjoy good oral and overall health, with no one left behind."
  • Ability to demonstrate OneTeam Values in daily work and interactions, and commitment to the organization's mission, values, and fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace culture.
  • Proficiency in languages in addition to English is a plus and supports engagement across the diverse communities we serve.
