Job description

HYBRID

Groups360 is a booking engine for meeting space founded in 2014 by former Gaylord Entertainment executives Dave Kloeppel and Kemp Gallineau. Groups360 was created with a singular goal, to empower meeting planners by bringing innovation, transparency, and simplicity to the decades-old problem of booking groups. The company’s technology, GroupSyncTM, enables suppliers to distribute inventory, engage with planners, and optimize group revenue. GroupSync also equips planners to search and shop hotels worldwide and book rooms and space directly, online, or through a simplified RFP process. GroupSync is the first distribution channel to offer online booking for both group hotel rooms and meeting space. Groups360 has offices in Nashville and London.

Our Partners:

In 2019, major hospitality players Accor, Hilton, IHG and Marriott, invested a combined $50 million in Groups360 to help fuel instant-booking development. In 2022, the world’s largest alternative asset manager Blackstone Innovations Partners, New York Hedge fund Fir Tree Partners, and property and technology investment firm, Zigg Capital invested a combined $35 million in Groups360 to help drive the industry wide transformation, making group travel simple.Life at Groups360: Groups360 is an innovative, high-growth company with offices in Nashville, London and Singapore. Groups360 is an equal opportunity employer, and our dedication to promoting diversity, multiculturalism and inclusion is reflected in the foundation of all we do.

The Role:

We're hiring an SDET to help redefine how testing gets done on our team shifting from hand-written automation to directing AI agents that generate, execute, and maintain test coverage.

In this role, you'll design and prompt agentic workflows that handle the bulk of the testing cycle, while focusing your own judgment on what to test, how to catch what agents miss, and where human review still matters. You'll split your time between refining agent workflows, triaging issues, and mentoring teammates through pull requests.

We're early in adopting AI-assisted development practices and looking for someone genuinely curious about pushing agentic testing further not just using it as a tool but actively exploring how much of the testing cycle can be handed to agents, and how to supervise that well.

This is a hands-on engineering role and a hands-on AI adoption role at once. If you want to help shape what AI-driven testing looks like on a real team, this roles for you.

What You'll Do
  • Direct AI agents to generate, execute, and maintain the majority of automated test coverage, using Playwright with JavaScript/Node.js as the underlying framework
  • Design and refine prompting strategies and agentic workflows that reduce manual test-writing over time
  • Apply human judgment where agents fall short edge cases, flaky results, and coverage gaps that need a person to catch them
  • Own test case documentation, execution, and reporting in TestRail
  • Track work and defects in Jira
  • Use Git and contribute to agent-driven test automation running in GitHub Actions as our CI/CD process matures
  • Weigh in on API testing strategy, even in areas where day-to-day ownership sits with someone else
  • Juggle a shifting mix of project work, defect response, and ongoing improvements without dropping the ball on any of it
  • Give clear, proactive updates on testing status, risk, and blockers, to your team and to leadership
  • Work with product, dev, and QA to nail down scope, acceptance criteria, and what "good enough" actually means
  • Mentor junior developers through code review, test design, and automation practices as they grow into more dev-focused work including how to work effectively with AI agents themselves
  • Actively pilot and give feedback on agentic AI tools as part of an early-stage rollout, helping shape how the team adopts them
  • Help shape test strategy and automation architecture as agents take on more of the day-to-day testing load
What We're Looking For Required:
  • Hands-on Playwright experience
  • Strong JavaScript/Node.js skills
  • TestRail (or similar test case management tool) experience
  • Jira experience for tracking work and defects
  • Working knowledge of Git
  • Comfort directing or prompting AI tools to do work you'd otherwise do by hand and knowing when to step in
  • You can explain a gnarly technical issue to a non-technical exec and to a fellow engineer, and know how to adjust for each
  • Track record of managing competing priorities not just tolerating ambiguity, but working well in it
  • Comfort with a role that isn't fully defined yet and will keep evolving
Nice to Have:
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants or AI-assisted test generation you've actually used these tools, not just read about them
  • GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD exposure; we're still maturing this, so depth isn't required
  • Some ability to think through an API testing approach, not just execute one
  • Familiarity with Shape Up, Kanban, or other SDLC frameworks
  • Experience mentoring less experienced engineers
  • A QA-to-development career trajectory (yours, or one you've supported in others)
What Success Looks Like
  • Most of the testing cycle runs through well-designed agentic workflows, with your judgment applied where it counts most
  • Test coverage that's reliable and actually scales as the product grows, even as more of it is agent-generated
  • Stakeholders stay informed without having to chase you for updates
  • You triage and reprioritize well when the mix of work shifts under you
  • Junior teammates visibly grow in skill and confidence under your mentorship, including how they work alongside AI agents
  • You're a driving force, not just a participant, in how the team adopts agentic testing workflows
Core Business Hours:

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F, Hybrid; these hours may vary depending upon your position and work requirements.

Status:

Exempt

Location:

Brentwood, TN. HYBRID (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
