ย Reporting to the Director of Quality and Continuous Improvement, this position will be located in our ย Medina, OH facility and support the needs of our Plymouth Meeting, PA facility. This position is ย responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ย improve overall operational performance. The Process Improvement Engineer identifies inefficiencies in ย organizational systems and develops data-driven solutions to streamline operations. Using ย methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma, this role bridges the gap between current state operations and ย future-state optimization to ensure the organization remains competitive and cost-effective.ย
ย Core Responsibilities:
ย Process Analysis - Conduct thorough assessments of current operational processes using tools ย like process mapping, ย ย flowcharts, and value stream mapping (VSM) to identify bottlenecks.
ย Data-Driven Optimization - Gather and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as cycle ย time, throughput, and scrap rates to quantify inefficiencies.
ย Solution Implementation - Lead cross-functional teams to implement process changes, which ย may include redesigning workflows, introducing new technologies or infrastructure, or ย automating manual tasks.ย
Root Cause Analysis - Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis to address recurring quality or ย productivity issues and implement corrective actions.
ย Standardization & Documentation - Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and control plans to sustain improvements and ensure compliance.
ย Training & Mentorship - Facilitate workshops (e.g., Kaizen events) and train employees on ย continuous improvement methodologies and new tools.ย
Requirements
ย Requirements
ย A bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, process engineering or mechanical engineering required.
ย Three to Five years' experience in process improvement or manufacturing engineering required.ย
Demonstrated ability to apply Lean methodologies to drive process improvement.
ย Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification strongly preferred
. Experience in a Chemical Plant preferred
. A thorough understanding of the latest process enhancement strategies.ย

ย Communication- Ability to articulate complex data and influence stakeholders at all levels of the ย organization.ย
Change Management - Strong leadership skills to build trust and guide teams through ย organizational transitions.ย
Problem Solving - A logical and methodical approach to resolving unusual or complex ย operational challenges.
ย Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, MS Office) and familiarity with ERP ย systems.ย
