Job description

Clean Harbors/Safety-Kleen is seeking a talented and dedicated Manager of Process Improvement to join our BPS Routing & Service Delivery team. Responsible for owning and executing some of the most operationally complex functions within our centralized routing department, including department program management, large account implementations, Route territory optimization, and routing process improvement. This is a high-impact individual contributor role that works across departments and directly supports field operations and executive stakeholders.

  • Experience in routing, logistics, or transportation operations; familiarity with route planning concepts and service delivery workflows strongly preferred.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple complex initiatives simultaneously from discovery through completion.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with field operations, sales, and IT stakeholders and communicate clearly at all levels.

  • Experience building and documenting SOPs and process workflows, particularly for offshore or remote operational teams.

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to present to and influence both operational teams and senior leadership.

  • Develop SOPs, task-based workflows, and process documentation to operate in all extensions of the Central Route Group. 

  • Develop and maintain routing process training for central route planners and service delivery managers, owning onboarding and ongoing education as practices evolve.

  • Serve as operational lead for all large account implementations and de-implementations, managing cross-departmental discovery, Route capacity planning, order and routing setup, field communication, and daily tracking.

  • Own Route territory design and optimization across the division, proactively adjusting for brand overlap, new and lost business, driver fluctuations, and specialty truck requirements.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives for routing and service delivery, identifying gaps in current practices and driving adoption of best practices across route planners and service delivery managers.

  • Own the UMO3 program end-to-end (Premier Oil Collection), managing setup, execution, and ongoing process gap resolution to keep the program running reliably at scale.

  • Manage the Castrol More Circular program, ensuring operational alignment and program compliance across relevant business units.
