Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Co-Op - Fall 2026

Job Description:

The Role:
Our site in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
The continuous improvement role involves analyzing business and manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and implementing changes to improve productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Our team uses methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma to guide our work, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute solutions that align with Entegris goals. The role requires strong analytical skills, project management, and the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
What You'll Do:

  • Data analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret production and workflow data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.

  • Process improvement: Perform process mapping, conduct root cause analysis, and develop action plans to address inefficiencies.

  • Project support: Assist with leading projects that aim to improve quality, safety, and cost savings, often by applying Lean principles or supporting events like Kaizen.

  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, such as operations, quality, and management, to implement and monitor improvement initiatives.

  • Documentation and reporting: Document processes, help create and deliver presentations on project findings, and provide feedback on procedures.


What We Seek:
Methodologies: Experience or training in process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.
Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) for data analysis and project management tools is often needed.
Soft skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Certification/Previous Experience: Yellow or Green Belt Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

Graduating in fall 2026 or later.
Eligibility

  • Must be a currently enrolled student

  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-June through September.

  • Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program

Compensation: $20-$30/hour range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
