Job description

General Description: Arora Engineers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student to join our Talent Acquisition team as a Fall Co-Op. This position provides hands-on experience in corporate recruiting, talent acquisition, and human resources operations within a nationally recognized engineering consulting firm. The Talent Acquisition Co-Op will support the full recruitment lifecycle, including candidate sourcing, resume screening, candidate engagement, early careers recruiting, and recruiting operations. The successful candidate will work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and HR professionals while gaining valuable exposure to workforce planning, employer branding, campus recruiting, and talent acquisition best practices.



Overall Responsibility:

The Talent Acquisition Co-Op is responsible for supporting the Talent Acquisition team in attracting, engaging, and identifying top talent for engineering, aviation, construction, and corporate positions across Arora Engineers. The co-op will assist with sourcing candidates, screening resumes, supporting campus recruiting initiatives, maintaining recruiting systems, and contributing to projects that enhance the candidate experience and recruiting effectiveness.



Essential Functions:

  • Source and identify prospective candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, professional networks, and other recruiting platforms.
  • Review resumes and evaluate candidate qualifications against job requirements.
  • Conduct initial candidate outreach and assist with introductory screening conversations.
  • Maintain candidate records and recruiting activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Assist with interview scheduling and candidate communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Support university relations, campus recruiting initiatives, career fairs, and early-career hiring programs.
  • Attend recruiting team meetings, hiring manager intake sessions, and professional development activities.
  • Support special projects related to talent acquisition strategy, process improvement, and candidate experience.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive candidate and company information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.




Education/Required Qualifications:


Education

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Junior or Senior standing preferred.
  • Expected graduation date within 12–18 months preferred.


Required Qualifications

  • Strong interest in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Human Resources, or Business Operations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous internship, co-op, customer service, sales, marketing, recruiting, or leadership experience.
  • Experience using LinkedIn, Handshake, or other professional networking platforms.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or recruiting technologies.
