Job Summary:

The Director of Data Management and Governance will lead the enterprise-wide strategy and execution of data governance, metadata management, data quality, and stewardship practices across BOK Financial.
Responsibilities:
• You will develop and execute a data management and governance strategy aligned with BOK Financial’s enterprise data vision.
• You will lead transformation initiatives to embed data governance and quality practices across the organization.
• You will establish and oversee governance structures including councils, stewardship groups, and domain ownership.
• You will promote cultural adoption of governance practices across all business units.
• You will implement a metadata strategy with automation for lineage, classification, and discoverability.
• You will define and monitor enterprise-wide data quality standards, metrics, and remediation processes.
• You will own and enhance tooling for data validation, exception handling, and continuous improvement.
• You will collaborate with cloud, AI, and compliance teams to automate governance workflows and resolve audit findings.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field of study
• 10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or enterprise information architecture
• Proven leadership in building and scaling data governance programs and leading enterprise transformation efforts
• Deep understanding of metadata, data quality, stewardship, and compliance frameworks (e.g. DCAM, DAMA)
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services and automation tools
• Experience implementing Gen AI and agentic AI solutions for data governance automation
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills
Preferred:
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
• DCAM Certification
• AWS Certified Data Analytics or Solutions Architect
• PMP or Agile Certification (a plus)
