JOB SUMMARY
The Director Enterprise Data is responsible for leading the strategy, management, and utilization of enterprise data across the organization. This position ensures that data is accurately collected, governed, and analyzed to drive business insights and decisions. The Director Enterprise Data will work closely with senior leadership, IT teams, data analysts, and business units to ensure the effective use of data to meet organizational goals.

JOB DUTIES
Data Strategy & Governance
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the organization's overall business goals and objectives
  • Ensure data governance policies and best practices are followed to ensure accuracy, consistency, privacy, and security of data across the enterprise
  • Lead the development and implementation of data management processes, standards, and procedures
  • Oversee data privacy and compliance initiatives to meet legal and regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, etc.
Data Architecture & Infrastructure
  • Lead the design and implementation of data architecture and infrastructure to support the organization's data needs
  • Work with IT and engineering teams to ensure the scalability and performance of data systems such as data lakes, data warehouses and cloud storage
  • Ensure data is stored in an efficient secure and easily accessible manner enabling seamless data integration and retrieval
Data Analytics & Insights
  • Drive the development and execution of data analytics initiatives to generate actionable insights that support decision-making across the organization
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure data analytics efforts support organizational performance
  • Oversee the creation of dashboards reports and data visualizations to communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and mentor a team of data professionals including data engineers, analysts, and scientists
  • Foster collaboration across various business units to ensure that data needs are identified and met
  • Work closely with product marketing, finance and operations teams to ensure alignment on data initiatives and projects
Data Quality & Performance Management
  • Establish and monitor key metrics to measure data quality, integrity and performance
  • Implement data quality checks and audits to maintain high standards and troubleshoot any issues that arise
  • Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, including software providers consultants and cloud service providers
  • Communicate the value of enterprise data initiatives to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership and nontechnical staff
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Stay current with industry trends, new technologies and innovations in data management and analytics
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and systems and lead initiatives to enhance data capabilities
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field; master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in data management, analytics. or business intelligence roles with 5+ years in a leadership capacity
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data management, and analytics frameworks
  • Experience with modern data architectures such as cloud, data lakes, and data warehouses
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Hadoop, AWS, and Azure
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with data privacy, security regulations, and compliance
  • Proven track record of managing and mentoring high-performing teams
  • Employees must provide their own reliable internet if working a remote/hybrid position
  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours, if needed, to meet the job requirements
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, or predictive analytics
  • Experience in managing large-scale enterprise data transformation initiatives
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to link data strategies to business outcomes
