Job description

Job Title: Senior Manager – Enterprise Data ManagementJob Location: NYC, NYDuration: 3 Months (Contract to Hire)Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Data Management will lead coordination of major tasks and Controls related to the development and execution of Master Data Management (MDM) program from the process and project standpoint. The Sr. Manager ensures correct, complete and timely execution of production jobs and associated controls that move data from input sources into the MDM Hub. Senior manager will also be engaged in the future projects such as testing MDM data injection into the production subscribing systems to ensure the correct and complete Master data is provided to the subscribing systems in timely fashion and ensuring that new sources are added into MDM in correct, complete and timely fashion. Sr. Manager is further responsible for on-boarding the new personnel for the MDM project and coordinate the necessary set-up and training. The Senior Manager is expected to expand the scope, usage and functionality of the Enterprise data dictionary to incorporate terms for the relevant enterprise systems

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that current production processes are executed correctly, completely and timely. Appropriately escalation the issues that may arise in the production.
  • Execute MDM Control framework - tasks may include data profiling, auditing, balancing, field and full file level validations; escape and resolve the issues found by controls for existing production jobs.
  • Lead the testing for MDM data consumption phase and testing for the integration of additional sources, escalate and resolve the issues found in testing or in auditing.
  • Provide necessary Project management coordination to advance the MDM.
  • Ensure that data moves through different MDM-related flows in the complete, correct and timely fashion both for inbound and outbound processes via existing Controls. Identify the need for the new Controls if necessary.
  • Maintain up to date documentation for the MDM production, testing ,integration, control and development processes.
  • Maintain the MDM current activity log, ensure that MDM team members are aware of the upcoming tasks and the timelines.
  • Provide on-boarding for the new members of MDM project to ensure that the staffers are productive in speedy fashion; ensure that training is available for new and existing members of the team.
QualificationsRequired Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a high-volume subscription-based or data-intensive business.
  • Working understanding of MDM, data quality, data lineage, metadata and experience with data modeling, data dictionary and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated Data Quality procedural and analysis skills.
  • Solid understanding of the enterprise-wide data flows including customer data flows.
  • Ability to direct the activities of the appropriate staff of the MDM team.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft SharePoint configuration, security and administration.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow or related ITIL tools and concepts.
  • Hands on experience with SQL and Oracle PL/SQL a plus.
