Job Title: Director, Data Management

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)
Duration: 5+ Months (Contract-to-Hire)

Job Description

We are looking for a Director, Data Management with strong hands-on experience in AWS Redshift, Informatica IDMC, and Enterprise Data Warehousing. The ideal candidate will lead enterprise data engineering, data governance, and AI-driven data initiatives while remaining technically involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Engineering initiatives.
  • Design and optimize AWS Redshift data warehouse solutions.
  • Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica IDMC and cloud technologies.
  • Develop and maintain ODS, EDW, Data Lakes, and Data Marts.
  • Implement Data Governance, Data Lineage, Data Catalog, and Data Quality frameworks.
  • Optimize SQL performance and large-scale data processing.
  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Work with Python for automation and data engineering tasks.
  • Partner with business, compliance, and security teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Lead AI-driven data management initiatives and mentor engineering teams.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of Data Engineering/Data Warehouse experience.
  • 5+ years of technical leadership experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • AWS Redshift
    • Informatica IDMC
    • Cloud ETL/ELT
    • SQL Performance Tuning
    • Data Modeling
    • Data Governance
    • Data Lineage & Metadata Management
    • Data Quality Frameworks
    • Python
    • Jenkins / GitHub CI/CD
  • Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud.
  • Knowledge of SOC2, PCI DSS, or similar compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Financial Services / FinTech experience.
  • Azure Data Engineer or other Cloud Certifications.
  • Experience with AI/Generative AI implementations in Data Engineering.
