GENERAL FUNCTION

The Digital Merchandising Specialist is responsible for creating and improving our digital product content, providing consumers with the details and selling-points that will maximize online conversion for our brands.

The position will provide digital product and content management support to the Wholesale channel, including e-Commerce accounts (e.g. Amazon, GlassesUSA, etc.), Key Accounts, and Department Stores (e.g. Nordstrom, Kohl's, etc.). The role will be directly responsible for copy-writing, product information management (PIM) system management, product set-up, product knowledge, and other merchandising related projects.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

EXECUTE DIGITAL MERCHANDISING

  • Manage and maintain the product content syndication tool by implementing sourcing, standardizing and organizing product data, optimizing and distributing product information to all wholesale eCommerce accounts
  • Maintain product knowledge of Luxottica’s brand portfolio through product training, market weeks, and other formats
  • Work closely with the brand, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful implementation of product data and copy syndication tool and adherence to content management processes
  • Support the timely acquisition, delivery, and tracking of product data and copy requests in partnership with Account Managers/Directors
  • Complete online item setup forms for retail partners (i.e. Amazon, Nordstrom, Kohl’s, etc.) to speed go-to-market and support assortment expansions

SOURCE, ORGANIZE AND CREATE COPY / CONTENT

  • Write online brand and product copy for retail partners including product titles and descriptions, features, categorization, and keywords for optimized performance (SEO)

OPTIMIZE BRAND AND SALES WITH E-RETAILER PARTNERS

  • Ensure access and optimization of product information for retail partners (i.e. Amazon, Walmart, Nordstrom, etc.) through product information feeds, content management and product set-up
  • Responsible for quality assurance around merchandising efforts and the online product catalog, including data analysis and “walking the store” to ensure optimal representation of product online.
  • Support in enhancing and optimizing digital shelf presence and brand performance by leveraging analytic tools and techniques to understand which content features are most highly correlated with sales lift and search rank
  • Address end-consumer inquiries and questions about product features and benefits

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly organized and detail oriented: Seeks highest-standards and accuracy in their work. Able to manage content assembly, improvement and development for a portfolio of approximately ten thousand SKUs. Capable to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Consumer oriented with strong communication skills with the ability to create compelling content from consumer POV.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Merchandising, Marketing, or relevant experience
  • 2+ years merchandising, e-commerce or content management experience, including copy and SEO
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, macros)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Optical/retail industry experience
  • Content management system (PIM, Salsify or DAM) experience
  • Knowledge of marketplace management (Amazon, Walmart, etc.)

Pay Range: 64,155.20  - 88,719.60
