Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated DTC Merchandising Specialist to act as the primary liaison for all website-related matters. The ideal candidate will be providing support to meet KPIs and sales plans, contribute to the development of strategies to enhance the consumer experience, and drive key business initiatives. This role is pivotal in delivering eCommerce revenue targets and establishing our .com platform as the pinnacle expression of our brand.

They must demonstrate good judgment in applying brand standards and best practices within the brand guidelines and digital objectives. Within this role they will be expected to demonstrate initiative to resolve issues and suggest creative, innovative and efficient solutions to achieve eCommerce objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising Strategy

  • Work on and align seasonal eCommerce Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies in collaboration with marketing, planning, merchandising, acquisition, retention, user experience, and technology teams.
  • Execute product strategies across eCommerce channels to enhance product discoverability and drive sales.
  • Analyze customer behavior to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven merchandising strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.

Product Presentation & Content Management

  • Curate and organize product collections to ensure visual appeal and alignment with seasonal trends, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
  • Upload, edit, and manage product listings, descriptions, images, and pricing to maintain accurate and up-to-date product pages.
  • Maintain and optimize category pages, ensuring appropriate product categorization and efficient filtering for customer navigation.

Inventory & Category Management

  • Monitor product availability, discontinuations, and stock levels to prevent out-of-stock situations or overstocking.
  • Manage new product introductions and lifecycle management to ensure impactful launches.
  • Strive for SKU efficiency, improved margins, and global assortment alignment.

Website Optimization & User Experience

  • Collaborate with the DTC Storefront team to execute website initiatives aligned with conversion optimization strategies.
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve product visibility and search rankings.
  • Conduct A/B testing on merchandising elements with the analytics team and apply insights for continuous improvement.
  • Enhance the online shopping experience by optimizing navigation, load times, and mobile responsiveness.

Sales Growth & Conversion Optimization:

  • Comment on cross-selling and upselling strategies to increase average order value and drive additional revenue.
  • Support the execution of conversion rate optimization strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Research and report on potential high-impact business development opportunities, such as new channel or partnership launches.

Customer Focus & Market Insights

  • Adopt a merchant mindset with a focus on understanding diverse consumer segments and tailoring eCommerce strategies accordingly.
  • Create and elevate the shopping journey to make it memorable and engaging, fostering customer loyalty and repeat visits.

Marketing & Loyalty Programs

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute targeted email campaigns aimed at customer retention and engagement.
  • Manage and enhance customer loyalty programs to align with brand objectives and drive customer lifetime value.

Performance Reporting

  • Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for division leadership.
  • Provide actionable insights for continuous improvement and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Shopify platform and proven experience in eCommerce merchandising
