A Full-Time Merchandiser Order Writer is a frontline force for retail excellence. As a Brand Execution Merchant, you’ll bring world-famous snacks like Oreo, Ritz, belVita, Chips Ahoy!, and Triscuit to life in-store building relationships, stocking shelves, executing displays, and ensuring shoppers always find their favorite snacks right where they expect them. Your work delights consumers, drives results, and keeps our iconic brands front and center: perfectly placed, impossible to miss, and always in stock. 
Primary responsibilities include: 
  • Represent Mondelēz: in-store with professionalism, positivity, and a commitment to excellence as you are the face of these iconic brands/owners of the biscuit aisle. 
  • Serve as the face of the company: delivering outstanding customer service to both store teams and shoppers.
  • Execute daily: store visits following Mondelēz’ Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Merchandising Excellence, including capturing display photos, via digital merchandising initiative (DMI).
  • Build and maintain: strong relationships with store personnel, such as backroom receivers and store managers, to support execution and visibility of our brands.
  • Order product: via iPad to maintain in-stock conditions for both shelf and display using Salesforce.
  • Implement promotional displays: and ensure compliance with your Retail Territory Manager (RTM)-negotiated plans with the stores.
  • Follow daily schedules: and priorities set by your RTM for efficient coverage among your retail team and colleagues.
  • Support seasonal sales: new product launches, and high visibility merchandising events.
  • Communicate store-level insights, issues, or opportunities to your RTM and management team.
  • Stay Safe & Compliant: embracing the physical nature of the role – including lifting, bending, and moving product through a snack-powered hustle.
Key Competencies Required: 
  • Retail Execution Excellence – Skilled in implementing planograms, building displays, and maintaining shelf standards that drive visibility and sales.
  • Customer Service Mindset – Approachable, upbeat, and committed to delivering a positive experience for both store teams and shoppers.
  • Digital Fluency – Comfortable using mobile tools (iPad/tablet & applications) to place orders, capture photos, and follow daily schedules.
  • Collaborative Communication – Able to build trust with store personnel and communicate effectively with RTMs and management.
  • Adaptability & Initiative – Flexible in responding to store needs, seasonal priorities, and promotional opportunities with a proactive attitude.
  • Physical Readiness – Energetic and capable of lifting, bending, and moving product throughout the day with pride and purpose.
  • Time & Task Management – Organized and efficient in following daily schedules and completing store visits with consistency.
Requirements Include:
  • Be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license issued by the state in which the person resides. 
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; or can earn your GED while gaining the skills! 
  • 1-3 years of experience in retail or consumer goods preferred 
  • Someone with a positive and professional attitude who is self-motivated and can work independently.  
  • Ability to drive your personal vehicle with valid insurance coverage to a variety of store locations (mileage will be reimbursed).  
  • Ability to perform hard work in a fast-paced work environment and to meet the defined physical activities like repetitive lifting, bending, and carrying up to 25 lbs. Occasionally, pushing and pulling over 50 lbs. This includes physically moving our products from the stockroom to store floor and stocking the store’s shelves. 
  • Live within 25-35 miles range from the primary location: Sterling, VA.
  • Secondary Location: Ashburn, VA.
  • Schedule availability required: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Salary and Benefits:
  • Hourly compensation rate ranges from $19.00 to $21.00 based on relevant experience.
