Job description

The Digital Merchandising & Experience Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day digital merchandising and on-site customer experience across the DTC e-commerce websites for Basic Resources Intimates’ three brands. This role is the operational backbone of the Shopify storefronts, ensuring the right products are presented to the right customers with optimized content, navigation, and site experiences that drive conversion. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Shopify’s backend administration, passionate about consumer behavior, and skilled at translating business goals into compelling on-site experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Shopify backend operations across all three brand storefronts, including product uploads, variant creation, tagging, and catalog organization
  • Build and update product detail pages (PDPs), ensuring accuracy of copy, imagery, sizing information, and metadata
  • Configure collections, navigation menus, filters, and search merchandising rules to optimize product discoverability
  • Execute the digital merchandising strategy in partnership with the Director of E-commerce Growth and cross-functional teams
  • Manage product sorting, ranking, and feature placement to prioritize high-margin and key seasonal styles
  • Ensure new product launches are executed on schedule with complete content and correct site placement

  • Support promotional calendar execution, including setting up discount codes, promotional pricing, and sale events within Shopify
  • Conduct regular site audits to identify and resolve broken links, incorrect product data, image quality issues, and navigation errors
  • Analyze on-site performance metrics (conversion rate, bounce rate, click-through rate, average order value) and provide actionable recommendations to improve the customer experience
  • Collaborate with creative, marketing, and brand teams to ensure that brand storytelling, seasonal campaigns, and editorial content are correctly implemented on-site
  • Support A/B testing initiatives and site optimization experiments in partnership with the e-commerce team
  • Stay current on Shopify platform updates, apps, new opportunities, and best practices to continuously improve site capabilities and performance
  • Stay informed on AI and search engine requirements to recommend and execute strategies to increase organic traffic

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field
  • 2–4 years of e-commerce or digital merchandising experience, with hands-on Shopify backend expertise (Shopify Plus preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of Shopify admin tools including product management, collections, metafields, theme customization, and apps such as Yotpo, Klaviyo integrations, Loop, and merchandising tools
  • Experience working with product data and content management across multiple SKUs and categories
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4), Shopify Analytics, or similar platforms to interpret site performance data
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally with planning, marketing, and creative teams
  • Experience in intimates, apparel, or fashion preferred but not required
