Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking an Advanced Quality Engineering Manager based in Indianapolis, IN. The Advanced Quality Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and developing a team of Quality Engineers supporting manufacturing operations, process development, and new product integration activities within the Indianapolis plant. This role drives the organizationโ€™s Built-in Quality (BiQ) strategy by partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, and Quality leadership teams to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), improve First Time Quality (FTQ), strengthen process controls, and promote prevention-focused quality practices across manufacturing operations.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $130,000 - $150,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) plus annual bonus. Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

What you will do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Quality Engineers ranging from Quality Engineer I through Quality Engineer III by providing technical guidance, performance management, career development, work prioritization, and support for operational quality objectives
  • Align operational quality engineering priorities with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality leadership teams to support production performance, escalation management, process capability improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives across assigned value streams
  • Drive reduction of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), including scrap, rework, process deviations, and internal defects, through advanced problem solving, corrective action leadership, process control improvements, and operational quality engineering support
  • Champion Built-in Quality (BiQ) initiatives by partnering cross-functionally to strengthen prevention-focused quality practices, improve process capability, and reinforce operational ownership of quality throughout manufacturing operations
What we require
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering or in a related technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, quality engineering, or operations quality leadership within a manufacturing environment, including 8+ years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience
  • Strong experience supporting process development, APQP, new product integration, operational quality systems, advanced problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives
