Job description

Position Summary

Sleep Inn & Suites in Park City, Kansas is seeking a conscientious, organized, and guest-focused Front Desk Manager to oversee daily front desk operations. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming guest experience, managing reservations and guest concerns, supporting front desk staff, and ensuring the reception area is professionally maintained at all times.

The ideal candidate will have strong time management, organizational, communication, and leadership skills. This person should be financially minded, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional customer service while helping create memorable guest experiences.

Reports To: General Manager
Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: $45,000 - $50,000 Annual Salary

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff the front desk during assigned shifts
  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner
  • Manage guest check-ins, check-outs, reservations, room assignments, and payments
  • Respond to guest questions, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
  • Implement front desk objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Assist with ongoing training, coaching, and support of front desk staff
  • Help manage front desk records, reports, contracts, and guest information
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to ensure guest needs are met
  • Monitor daily arrivals, departures, occupancy, and room availability
  • Assist with scheduling and front desk shift coverage as needed
  • In conjunction with the General Manager, assist with performance reviews of front desk staff
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and employee handbook expectations
  • Support the General Manager with daily operations and guest satisfaction initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a front desk manager or in a similar leadership role, or 3 years of front desk experience
  • Strong understanding of hotel industry procedures and front desk best practices
  • Previous hospitality, hotel, customer service, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and create positive guest experiences
  • Comfortable using reservation systems, computers, and basic office equipment
  • Financially minded with the ability to handle payments, guest accounts, and related records accurately
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform assigned duties without relying on outside contractor assistance
