Job Description:Our client is seeking a Senior Storage Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise storage infrastructure supporting mission-critical environments across multiple data centers. This individual will administer block, file, and object storage environments while ensuring high availability, performance, disaster recovery readiness, and security. The ideal candidate has deep expertise with Dell EMC and Pure Storage platforms, strong SAN/NAS administration skills, and experience supporting enterprise VMware environments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:• Administer enterprise block, file, and object storage environments.• Provision and expand storage allocations, including LUN provisioning, host mapping, masking, and storage expansions.• Manage Dell EMC PowerMax/VMAX, PowerScale (Isilon), and Pure Storage platforms.• Administer SAN infrastructure including Cisco MDS switches, Fibre Channel fabrics, zoning, and VSANs.• Manage NAS environments supporting SMB/CIFS and NFS file services.• Monitor storage capacity, performance, and availability while proactively identifying optimization opportunities.• Perform storage replication, snapshots, disaster recovery testing, and recovery operations.• Troubleshoot complex storage, networking, VMware, and infrastructure issues while coordinating with hardware vendors.• Execute firmware upgrades, patching, maintenance, and lifecycle management activities.• Remediate storage-related security vulnerabilities and support audit requirements.• Maintain storage documentation, runbooks, inventory records, and operational procedures.• Partner closely with virtualization, server, backup, cloud, and infrastructure teams.• Lead or support storage migration and modernization initiatives.• Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule supporting critical production systems.

Requirements:

Must-Haves:• 7 years of enterprise storage administration experience.• Strong hands-on experience with Dell EMC PowerMax/VMAX, PowerScale (Isilon), and Pure Storage.• Expert-level SAN/NAS administration experience including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, Cisco MDS, SMB/CIFS, and NFS.• Experience with storage provisioning, LUN allocation, host mapping, masking, replication, snapshots, and performance tuning.• Strong troubleshooting experience across enterprise storage, networking, and VMware environments.• Experience supporting enterprise disaster recovery operations, storage replication, and DR testing.• Experience collaborating with server, virtualization, backup, and infrastructure teams.• Strong understanding of enterprise storage performance monitoring and capacity planning.• Experience working within ITIL processes including change management and incident management.• Strong communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.• Comfortable participating in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule.

Nice-to-Haves:• Experience with Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP or similar cloud storage platforms.• Experience with NetApp ONTAP, SnapMirror, and SnapVault.• PowerShell or Python scripting experience.• Hybrid cloud infrastructure experience.• Experience leading enterprise storage migration or modernization initiatives.• Financial services or other large enterprise environment experience.
