Job description

The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for providing the highest level of care for their accounts. Account Managers will sell product, professional services, cloud services, and managed services from our portfolio of IT solutions. They will be responsible for setting and implementing a strategy for the accounts they cover. They will be responsible for selling across our comprehensive portfolio of solutions which includes on premise and cloud solutions from Cisco, Dell EMC, VMware, and others. Our core practice areas for our Professional and Managed Services include: Enterprise Networking, Advanced Security, Data Center, Cloud Native, Collaboration, and Carrier Services.
 
Together with Aqueduct's best and brightest engineers, the team will work to scope out our customers' needs and develop solutions to enable their businesses. The chosen candidate will be responsible for over-achieving their goals and for maintaining excellent relationships with our clients and manufacturer representatives.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Execute sales strategy by identifying customer needs and selling the appropriate hardware, software, and company services and solutions
  • Develop business through multiple marketing and sales techniques including, but not limited to, cold calling, conducting in-person meetings, and partnering with vendors or manufacturers
  • Maintain an understanding of your customers' businesses by recognizing customer needs and their buying cycles, and creating strong relationships to effectively drive sales and repeat business
  • Meet or exceed annual sales top line revenue and gross margin goals as defined by management
  • Adhere to sales process including, but not limited to, pipeline development and accurate forecasting via Salesforce
  • Drive profitability and grow revenue for target accounts in partnership with sales management
  • Perform extensive proposal writing and prepares sales information for customers
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • BS in Business or related degree
  • 3-5 years of experience with a Value Added Reseller or an OEM
  • Knowledge of computers/networking and the IT Industry as a whole
  • Ability to manage 5-10 active commercial size accounts while continuing to prospect to add new accounts
  • Highly motivated with a can-do attitude and a high level of written/verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and support skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com
  • Ability to multi-task and work under deadline pressure
  • Ability to work independently and use sound judgment in decision-making with a results-driven orientation
  • Ability to participate as a team member as well as a leader in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Aptitude for learning technology
  • Demonstrates exceptional follow-through and personal drive
Preferred:
  • Industry certifications such as Cisco, Dell EMC, or VMware is a plus
  • Experience with "Solution Selling" Sales Training is a plus
  • Experience effectively using Salesforce
  • Experience selling Cloud or "As a Service" solutions
