Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client
Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.
Required:
  • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Palm Beach Gardens,FL / Miami, FL (required);
  • Engineering experience (10+ years)
  • Storage and/or data protection engineering in enterprise environments (5+ years)
  • Experience with enterprise storage, backup, recovery, replication, lifecycle management, and operational support.
  • Experience with Dell EMC enterprise storage platforms, including Isilon or PowerScale, PowerMax, and related storage management tools.
  • Experience with Brocade SAN fabric technologies, zoning, connectivity, troubleshooting, and operational support.
  • Rubrik experience, including backup policy design, recovery workflows, operational support, and platform management.
  • Experience with cyber resiliency, immutable backups, ransomware recovery, disaster recovery readiness, recovery validation, and backup compliance.
  • Experience with storage performance analysis, capacity planning, replication, snapshot management, availability, and workload placement.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation patterns for storage or data protection operations using tools such as Ansible, REST APIs, Terraform, Git, and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with AWS and/or GCP storage services, cloud backup patterns, and hybrid cloud data protection models.
  • Experience defining monitoring requirements, alert thresholds, operational metrics, service catalog offerings, knowledge management, CMDB standards, and related ServiceNow processes.
  • Experience developing standards, roadmaps, documentation, service models, and operational procedures.

Preferred:
  • Experience with AWS FSx for NetApp ONTAP.
  • Experience with GCP storage and backup services.
  • Experience with DDVE in AWS.
  • Experience with Dell Data Domain, PowerProtect, Avamar, or Networker.
  • Experience with NetApp ONTAP.
  • Experience with cloud-native backup, archival, and recovery services.
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring platforms and observability tools.
  • Experience working in regulated or security-focused enterprise environments.
  • Relevant storage, backup, cloud, automation, security, or infrastructure certifications
  • Dell Technologies, Rubrik, AWS, Google Cloud, NetApp, Terraform, Ansible, ITIL, security, or related infrastructure certifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of enterprise storage and data protection solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Act as the technical product owner for storage and data protection services, including standards, roadmap development, lifecycle planning, and platform improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain storage and backup standards, reference architectures, configuration baselines, security standards, recovery patterns, and operational support models.
  • Support Dell EMC enterprise storage platforms, including Isilon, PowerMax, and Brocade SAN fabric.
  • Support Rubrik as the primary enterprise data protection platform, including backup policy design, recovery workflows, operational standards, and platform improvements.
  • Lead cyber resiliency engineering efforts related to immutable backups, ransomware recovery, recovery validation, disaster recovery readiness, and data protection controls.
  • Define and implement automation for storage and data protection operations using Ansible, REST APIs, Terraform, Git, and CI/CD practices where applicable.
