Job description

Prizm LLC (an ExamWorks company) is seeking an experienced sales professional in the claims industryΒ to join the team as aΒ Business Development Manager!

This role is Monday - Friday 100% remote aside from travel to tradeshows and exhibitions on average up to two times per month. It is highly preferred that this candidate be on the Central (CST) or Eastern (EST) time zone.Β 

The Business Development Manager is responsible to identify opportunities, seek and engage new clients, develop new proposals and manage existing accounts. This position requires consistent contact with clients, awareness regarding industry standards and client expectations, efficient time utilization and travel on an as needed basis.Β  Working in conjunction with the President as well as others to achieve superior customer service and market knowledge, and strive to meet and exceed company’s revenue objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Drive the development of sales with particular focus on the medical legal market.
  • Maintain customer relationships, develop and implement strategies for expanding customer base.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and the company, actively promote services and gather and exchange information.
  • Represent the company at industry functions, conferences, tradeshows, seminars, meetings, and when necessary, organize and conduct client entertainment; travel as necessary.
  • Inform clients of updates in regards to policy changes, services and physicians.
  • Assist in resolving client concerns relative to service and report quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Visit physicians as necessary and assist with physician recruiting efforts as required.
  • Evaluate the results of overall sales efforts and report results to the President.
  • Continuously analyze the market and competition and identify external threats and opportunities; adapt sales strategy to changing conditions.
  • Provide weekly, monthly and or quarterly updates as directed.
  • Attend all sales and marketing meetings as directed.
  • When necessary, assist with account collection activity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Bachelor degree (business, marketing or sales is preferred), or five years related experience in outside sales, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of the medical legal industry is preferred.Β 
  • Valid State Driver’s License require
  • Claims, workers compensation, bill review, or similar experience required
  • Ability to assist with development and delivery of compelling presentations.
  • Ability to problem solve and develop alternative solutions when dealing with client issues or emotional topics.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to demonstrate team behavior and willing to promote a positive team -oriented environment with the ability to both convey and understand the philosophies of others.
  • Ability to use good judgment and include the appropriate people in the decision-making process.
  • Must be able to divide work requirements between office time and travel.
