Job description

Warehouse Inventory Coordinator

This position has primary responsibility for the coordination and input of daily inventory transactions in the warehouse ERP system. Coordinates with other Warehouse and Operations team members to ensure correct materials are pulled for staging for packaging and manufacturing functions. Ensures that return product has transactions completed and returned to inventory location. This position is also responsible for safely handling materials in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and tasks necessary to inspect, pick, pack, transport, and ship materials.

General Functions:

  • Documents in a timely manner all tasks requiring written records per SOP.
  • Maintains accurate data within all Inventory Management systems (SAP Business ByDesign).
  • Facilitates information flow for material availability to support production operations and customer service.
  • Loads/unloads trucks in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
  • Operates material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. to move/transport materials.
  • Other duties as assigned by management / supervision.

Warehouse and Inventory Control Functions:

  • Performs physical inventory transactions according to SOP.
  • Performs timely and accurate SAP transactions per SOP.
  • Moves material within warehouse locations based on inventory status and production requirements.
  • Completes inventory replenishment utilizing manual or automated technology, including KANBAN and other replenishment systems. Notifies supervisor of any shortages of supplies.
  • Assists in Cycle and Physical Inventory Counts to include counting and data entry as required.
  • Dispositions expired, damaged, and/or obsolete materials, including Finished Goods per SOP.

Receiving Functions:

  • Creating and/or reviewing paperwork for accuracy/completeness for shipping coordination.
  • Compiling data and creating material status reports.
  • Assists in the design and implementation of work methods and procedures for activities like verifying packing slips, and shipping tracking.
  • Coordinating all Shipping Functions within the site.
  • Review daily work activities for timeliness, data entry, and record keeping.
  • Tracking shipments via the Shipping Log and providing status of their location.
  • Assists in the preparation, packaging, shipment, & documentation of supplies for supplier returns.
  • Ensures materials are correctly labeled and stored, protecting the integrity of sterile supplies upon receipt.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

Minimum of High school Diploma, required. Associate degree, preferred. 5 or more years of experience in Distribution, Warehousing, Shipping, Receiving, Logistics, Materials Handling or other comparable functions, required. 2 or more years of experience in coordinating activities through a multi-departmental process, preferred. Lean or Six Sigma Certification, any level preferred.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of discrete batch manufacturing in pharmaceutical or related field, preferred. Working knowledge of GMPs and regulatory requirements, preferred. Use of Supply Chain technology (e.g. bar code scanners, automated supply cabinets, and other wireless products), preferred

Skills & Abilities:

Ability to learn and apply company SOPs. Basic computer skills, including data entry. SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience highly desired. Ability to review reports, records, and related data required. Effective communication and customer service skills. Ability to effectively partner across teams. Leadership ability to impact and influence others outside your department

Physical Requirements:

Frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop (8+ hours per day). Load/unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner. Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and vehicles. Work indoors and/or outdoors based on tasks described above.
