Genesis Industrial Staffing, Inc is currently seeking a Data Entry Clerk in the Mobile, Alabama area.
Job Title: Data Entry Clerk

Position Type: Full-Time (40 Hours per Week)
Location: Mobile, AL
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support maritime cargo operations across Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida. This position is responsible for accurately entering, tracking, and maintaining cargo information while providing administrative support to ensure efficient scheduling and movement of shipments. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Enter and maintain cargo shipment information with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Track maritime cargo movements throughout Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida.
  • Update shipment statuses and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate with internal teams regarding cargo schedules and documentation.
  • Monitor shipment timelines and report delays or discrepancies.
  • Prepare and maintain reports using Microsoft Excel.
  • Manage emails and correspondence using Microsoft Outlook.
  • Maintain electronic files and documentation.
  • Provide administrative support to the operations and logistics team.
  • Perform other clerical and data entry duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous data entry, logistics, transportation, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Experience tracking cargo, freight, or shipments is strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • Microsoft Word
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
