Responsibilities
• Registrar's Office Student Assistant provide support to the Registrar's Office staff in various capacities and functions, including answering the phone, administrative support, data entry, and other duties as assigned. • Engage with students, guests and other university personnel, answering questions, assisting with both process and physical directions and providing excellent customer service • Assist with office tasks, including but not limited to: registration, FERPA questions/ paperwork, uploading documents to student record and graduation ceremonies • Printing, copying, and student data entry • Become well versed in university records policies, be committed to the privacy of student information, and be willing to help where needed • Be able to handle day-to-day questions and issues with little direct supervision once trained • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Dependable and hard-working, with attention to detail This position requires work outside of university business hours (8 am - 5 pm), for graduation ceremony setup/breakdown and during the event.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Enthusiasm to positively represent AUM and the Registrar's Office • Knowledge of AUM programs and services to students • Excellent customer service skills • Excellent verbal communication skills, in both one-on-one and on the phone • Ability to work within diverse groups • Ability to manage time effectively and react quickly to multiple, competing demands
