Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Crew Scheduler is responsible for the daily execution and oversight of crew scheduling activities to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient flight operations. This position assigns crew members to aircraft, establishes duty start and stop times, coordinates all required travel, and monitors regulatory compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) flight and duty limitations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assign crew members to aircraft in accordance with company standards, availability, and qualification requirements
• Assign appropriate crew pairings based on check ride calendars and qualification status
• Make daily adjustments to maintain Red Label crew alignment on designated aircraft
• Assign duty start and stop times for crew members
• Start "tomorrow's" scheduling activities to ensure proactive coverage
• Manage unassigned crew members and resolve coverage gaps
• Input aircraft exclusions and reverse trip locks
• Build breakfast legs and manage circulation lows (circ lows)
• Conduct Daily Release and Last Day Release processes
• Monitor crew duty, rest, and flight time limitations to ensure full FAA compliance
• Ensures all crew members are released in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Monitor crewing metrics and operational performance standards
• Request travel arrangements for crew members related to flight duty
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a 4-year college; 1-3 years of related experience preferably in an aviation/logistics environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of FARs in regard to Part 91, 121, or 135 airline operations is preferred
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the aptitude to learn customized company software programs
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• Candidates should work well in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business
• Must be detail oriented and able to work productively, independently, or within a team
• Excellent oral/written communication and problem resolution skills are required
• Successful candidates will maintain a high level of professionalism while multi-tasking various real time situations in a fast-paced environment
• Our operation is 365/24/7 and candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as schedule dictates
