Ingredion is seeking aDirector, Corporate Strategy that will facilitate and support strategy and growth activation at Corporate, Segment, and Functional levels aligned with Enterprise Play to Win priorities and workstreams. In addition to acting as a thought partner for incoming Segment queries and analysis needs, the Corporate Strategy Director will drive and support the coordination of all workstreams, many in parallel, across the strategic, integrative, and operating layers of the organization. As an integral part of the team, the Director plays a key role in advancing project agendas and driving results. As such, the Director is expected to liaise across the organization while also including as needed internal and external specialists.

This role is key in the mission to upgrade Ingredion's strategy capability and deliver on value created through its transformation to a Solutions leader. The Director will work closely with all global segments and functions on strategy activities, while also driving key Corp. Strategy projects that further the mission of our Play to Win choices.

The Director, Corporate Strategy reports to the Head of Corporate Strategy

What you will do:

  • Drive analysis and action for top/bottom line growth as defined by the Segments. Support, advise, and direct workstreams and segment resources accountable for driving actionable deliverables from P2W Charters, while ensuring connections across the integrative layer required for success.

  • Create process and templates for an integrated business plan that gets updated annually, to ensure Segment and Functional strategies are aligned with robust action plans to support growth and fill capability gaps in line with P2W goals.

  • Work with Segment teams to better define/uplevel opportunities/possibilities and jointly develop analysis and action plans to move forward against growth goals within prescribed timelines.

  • Integrate Office of Transformation tools into Segment workstreams to effect project management enhancements that work toward clear deliverables to result in value added outcomes and/or ongoing dependencies for other projects. Ensure visibility across the organization as needed.

  • Develop process for global risk monitoring - Summarize a portfolio of disruptors that could have negative implications if not properly understood and actioned upon. Requires working cross functionally to generate input and insights to environmental, political, economic, supply chain, competitive, and technology disruptors, their status, directional movement, leading indicators, implications for INGR, and options for mitigation.

  • Develop processes and communication tools (e.g. dashboards) to keep all teams updated on strategy and risk monitoring activities.

  • Consulting ombudsman - work with segments and functions to optimize the effectiveness of using consultants for projects that have strategic implications. Work with teams to align key objectives of the work to be done, and ensure the scope, approach, and most importantly, deliverables of the project are best positioned to meet stated objectives.

  • Build followership:invest in team relationships, provide coaching and mentoring, provide inspiration to others (including feedback and high-performance team management principles) as P2W becomes further integrated into the organization. Be a key driver in role modeling the how, why, and what of the upgraded operating model, while also providing consistent feedback for continuous improvement on new ways of working.

  • Identify and oversee the impacts and interdependencies between Segment and Function charters and work to ensure alignment so that initiatives meet the goals and objectives of projects and workstreams. Be especially cognizant of commercial ways of working so that goals and objectives are developed within the context of customer and consumer needs.

  • Support the development of management systems integral to the success of prioritized strategies and ensure the ability to measure and report when applicable, including the facilitation of changes needed to systems and frameworks.

What you will bring:

  • Significant experience in strategy consulting or equivalent corporate strategy experience, including corporate strategy, management consulting, corporate development, or adjacent enterprisefacing roles.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business situations, manage multiple concurrent projects, and deliver solutions using a consultant style skill set, including structured problem solving, hypothesis driven analysis, and executive facilitation.

  • Ability to work with teams across all aspects of the organization, including segments, functions, geographies (including commercial), and the ELT. Enhances team discussions with facilitations skills that both challenge existing mindsets and work toward consensus, as needed.

  • Exceptional analytical skills and financial acumen - affinity for data-driven insights to making decisions and creating a track record of demonstrable results.

  • Significant experience managing large impactful global projects, e.g. operating model design, M&A integration, enterprise strategy, and other transformational situations that require large team and data set management.

  • Exceptional AI/modeling/math skills

  • Proficient in IT tools to optimize the performance of remote teams as well as project management tools (e.g., MS Project and auxiliary tools).

  • Demonstrated ability in leading cross-functional teams

  • Ability to travel Internationally

Pay Range:

$181,400.00-$241,866.67 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
