Bayview Asset Management

Coral Gables, FL • Hybrid

Job description

Overview
ABOUT US:

Founded in 1993, Bayview Asset Management is an investment management firm focused on investments in mortgage and consumer credit, including whole loans, asset-backed securities, mortgage servicing rights, and other credit-related assets.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Bayview is seeking a high-potential Senior Analyst / Associate to support (and increasingly lead) internal client engagements focused on strategy and operational improvement. This includes working with both our investment businesses, operating businesses, and potentially overhead functions. This role is designed as an apprenticeship-style development opportunity—learning by doing, with rapidly increasing ownership over discrete workstreams and direct exposure to senior leaders.

Two criteria for success:

  1. Drive meaningful, tangible change quickly for clients and internal stakeholders.
  2. Build the core skills of a top-tier strategic consultant—structured problem solving, crisp communications, and a top-management perspective.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Diagnose performance opportunities across growth strategy, operating model, cost, productivity, and process effectiveness; size the prize and define value cases.
  • Run structured problem-solving workstreams: collect and synthesize facts, build analytical views, develop insights, and translate them into clear recommendations.
  • Design and launch initiatives to capture identified value, including change management, KPI definition, and performance tracking.
  • Support AI-enabled transformation by identifying high-value use cases, translating business requirements into practical solutions, and guiding deployment/adoption of AI tools to drive business outcomes (e.g., productivity, customer experience, revenue lift, risk reduction).
  • Create executive-ready deliverables (slides, memos, and meeting materials) and help lead working sessions with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Over time, operate as a stand-alone consultant for defined workstreams, with meaningful autonomy expected within a few months.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated drive to identify what’s broken, fix it, and make changes stick; strong ownership and results orientation.
  • Eagerness to build new skills and techniques quickly in an apprenticeship environment.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; comfortable turning messy information into a clear story and recommendation.
  • Interest in (or experience with) digital, analytics, or AI-enabled process improvement; ability to connect tools to business value.
  • Comfort working with senior stakeholders; collaborative, low-ego, and able to influence without authority.

Location:

  • This is a hybrid role and involves 3-4 days in a Bayview office location in a typical week. Flexible on location, but with preference for Coral Gables, New York City, or potentially other locations within 30 miles of a major Bayview physical location.
EEC
