In this position...

Acts as a strategic advisor to help define and drive business and corporate strategy and vision through thoughtful engagement with POV owners across the business. As the strategy expert, this Director helps identify and solve for the most pressing strategic matters, frame strategic choices, provide supporting data and solicit diverse perspectives in service of the business and corporate strategy. They drive clarity and alignment across the Company on the highest-level strategic choices through robust governance and consultation. 

Partners with the Company's market intelligence apparatus to routinely sense and monitor events and trends in relevant and adjacent industries. The director will proactively analyze potential impacts and drive the right discussions and decision across the business to ensure preparedness. 

Acts as a thought leader in designing and implementing continuous process improvements to ensure key business initiatives and partnership milestones and priorities are on track across the organization. In partnership with leaders and key stakeholders, the Director, Corporate Strategy supports objective setting and tracking that aligns with the long-term and short-term strategic goals to help define the corporate strategy and maximize enterprise value. 

Leads special projects as requested by the Executive Director, Corporate Strategy, the Chief Strategy Officer, the Executive Leadership Team and/or the Board of Directors. These could include strategy projects to support the company's strategic aims, evaluate adjacent markets, execute strategic objectives such as market exits, or deliver other high-priority strategic objectives.

Key capabilities and experiences...

Demonstrable ability to leverage data and storytelling to influence executive and board level stakeholders 

Progressive consulting or corporate strategy experience in strategy development for industrial goods, consumer product, or technology companies 

Experience in leading teams for strategy development and execution 

Domain expertise in automotive, technology, or software. Specific knowledge in electric vehicles is a plus 

Experience in coaching and mentoring team members for professional development Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Required 5+ years corporate strategy experience, in-house experience preferred 

5+ years' experience managing teams Executed corporate and business strategy development for global organizations Preferred Requirements

Collaborate with cross-functional skill teams to develop plans in line with the overall corporate strategy and business unit strategies 

Analyze market dynamics, current product line and business performance, competitive intelligence, internal and competitor financial performance, and future scenarios to develop and evaluate strategies

  Assist and drive partnership funnel generation and individual partner negotiations where required 

Understand customer and technical requirements related to the products 

Proactively identify strategic risks and potential strategy work required 

Collaborate with leadership, special committees, and consultants to develop, evaluate, and execute strategies 

Communicate strategy effectively throughout the company and with external stakeholders as needed 

Responsible for ensuring suitable objectives and metrics are in place to measure performance and progress 

Lead teams to deliver Corporate Strategy and company objectives 

Develop Corporate Strategy team members through coaching, mentorship, and other professional
