What is an analytics strategy?

An analytics strategy is a plan that outlines how an organization uses data analysis to support decision-making and achieve business goals. For an analytics strategy role, it involves defining key metrics, selecting appropriate tools, and establishing processes for data collection, analysis, and reporting. Developing a strong strategy requires understanding business needs, data management, and analytical techniques.

They analyze financial reports, create models, and provide insights to support decision-making. Proficiency in data analysis tools and strong communication skills are essential for this role.

What is the highest paying job in data analytics?

In data analytics, senior roles such as Chief Data Officer, Data Science Director, or Analytics Executive typically have the highest salaries, often exceeding six figures annually. These positions require advanced skills in data management, strategic planning, and leadership, along with extensive experience and often relevant certifications.

What is analytics strategy?

Analytics strategy refers to the planning and implementation of processes, tools, and personnel required to collect, analyze, and use data effectively within an organization. An effective analytics strategy can improve efficiency, drive innovation, and provide a competitive advantage.

How does an Analytics Strategy professional typically collaborate with other departments within an organization?

Analytics Strategy professionals often act as a bridge between data teams and business units, working closely with departments such as marketing, finance, operations, and IT. WE'RE HIRING! If you love data and are looking for unlimited growth opportunities, we want to talk with you about joining Further.

Further is a data, cloud, and AI company whose focus is helping companies turn raw data into the right decisions. We have an award winning culture of extraordinary people. Our purpose is to enable people to thrive so that businesses can thrive. We believe that the work you do should matter - it should be meaningful to you professionally and personally, and it should have a positive impact on both you and our clients.ย  If this sounds exciting to you, let's chat!

Associate Strategy Director

You'll sit at the intersection of strategy, data, and client impact, shaping the firm's growth, maturing its offerings, and leaving a measurable mark on the clients you serve. This is a leadership role in the organization, and you would not only be a senior SME on client accounts, but be responsible for teaching others how to identify opportunities for strategic growth and impact on client accounts. You will drive business growth, lead strategic client relationships, and mentor the next generation of practitioners, all while applying our Hypothesis-Driven Approach to some of the most complex data and digital challenges our clients face. You will sit in one of our office locations on a hybrid schedule. The team is in office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.ย

What experience should you have:

  • 10-15 years of experience in full scale customer journey and data ecosystems, with a track record of designing comprehensive analytics, measurement, and optimization programs.
  • Experience developing complex data strategies and leading cross-functional data initiatives at enterprise scale.
  • Proven ability to lead client-facing workshops, discovery sessions, and executive presentations, including with net-new prospects.
  • Strong change management skills and comfort navigating ambiguity at the senior client level.
  • Demonstrated success mentoring teams and driving measurable results on multi-workstream projects.

What you'll be doing in this role:

  • Champion and apply our Hypothesis-Driven Approach across large, complex engagements, communicating it clearly to both internal teams and senior client stakeholders.
  • Translate client goals into measurable business outcomes; plan, delegate, and lead team execution while crafting a compelling value narrative for every engagement.
  • Lead business development - from pitches and scoping to proposals and pricing - building trusted partnerships that extend and expand client relationships over time.
  • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to cross-functional teams, championing the firm's vision, values, and evolving solution offerings.
  • Own major client engagements end-to-end: influence decision-making, navigate change management, and communicate the downstream impact of new information or constraints on the client's ecosystem.
  • Partner with Client Services and Business Development to pursue new opportunities and shape the direction of ongoing engagements

Our total rewards program is designed for your protection, peace of mind, and overall well-being. In addition to our outstanding basics, we offer a net-zero cost medical option, company contributions to your HSA, fertility support, fully-paid parental leave, a monthly stipend for your lifestyle spending account, and much more.

Apply today or check out all our opportunities!
