We are looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals according to menu. The Cook will implement the vision of the Executive Chef and will prepare Entrees, soups, and desserts with sound culinary techniques and efficient delivery. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. You will cook for a resident population of 79 and operate in a smaller kitchen, mostly on your own, so multi-tasking and efficiency is necessary. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is important. The goal is to enhance our resident’s dining experience and our reputation as a culinary team. 
Responsibilities Include: 
  • With a high-risk population, safety and sanitation are a priority 
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment 
  • Prepare ingredients to use in scratch cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.) 
  • Plate presentations with fine dining techniques 
  • Communicate directly with residents to receive feedback on the prepared meals 
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly 
  • Check the quality of ingredients 
  • May perform other duties as assigned by Executive Chef 
Qualifications: 
  • Fine dining experience preferred 
  • 1-2 years of experience cooking in a scratch kitchen required 
  • Ability to work in a team 
  • Very good communication skills 
  • Good physical condition and stamina 
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
