Job description

Position will be primarily responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for programs at MiSide and its affiliates. The Controller will have a high level of interaction with the organization’s Executive Council and other Senior Leaders, employees, grant funders, banks, vendors and other external stakeholders. Position will be responsible for establishing financial goals and objectives to ensure financial strength, compliance and operating efficiency and must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment. All responsibilities will be aligned with the overall financial goals and objectives of the organization as a whole, including related entities.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or Masters’ degree is preferred
  • Seven years of experience as a Controller or equivalent experience
  • Experience in nonprofit sector is highly preferred
  • Experience managing a staff of 8 or more
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable transportation for day-to-day job performance
