Job description

We are seeking an experienced Temporary Controller to provide immediate leadership and stability during a transition period. This role will oversee the accounting function, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support critical close, audit, and process improvement activities.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, able to step in quickly, and comfortable working in dynamic or transitional environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, and financial reporting
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Manage account reconciliations and resolve complex discrepancies
  • Support or lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and compliance processes
  • Monitor cash flow and support forecasting and budgeting activities
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to accounting staff
  • Identify process improvements and implement efficiencies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Proven experience managing the close process and financial statements
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills
