National Contractor Manager

Our concierge team manages the entire repair experience from the initial request through contractor coordination making home maintenance simple and stress-free. We're looking for an energetic, relationship-driven professional to help us build and expand our nationwide network of contractor partners.

Position Summary

The National Contractor Manager is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and developing a nationwide network of high-quality independent contractors across multiple skilled trades. This role focuses on identifying qualified service providers, building lasting business relationships, and ensuring Househappy maintains exceptional contractor coverage to support homeowner service requests.

This is a fast-paced position that combines recruiting, sales, territory development, and relationship management. The ideal candidate enjoys cold calling, networking, problem solving, and connecting great contractors with meaningful work opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and onboard qualified independent contractors across multiple markets throughout the United States.

  • Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through phone calls, online research, referrals, and industry networking.

  • Research local markets to identify coverage gaps and develop targeted recruiting strategies.

  • Verify contractor qualifications, licensing, and business information prior to onboarding.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractor partners through consistent communication and follow-up.

  • Set clear expectations regarding Househappy's service model, quality standards, and customer experience.

  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure service requests contain complete and accurate information before contractor assignment.

  • Monitor recruiting pipelines, prioritize urgent staffing needs, and respond quickly to changing business demands.

  • Negotiate service capabilities and maintain a healthy network of engaged contractor partners.

  • Represent Househappy professionally while delivering an outstanding experience for both contractors and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required

  • Previous experience in recruiting, sales, account management, business development, or customer success.

  • Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls and building relationships with new contacts.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

  • Proficient with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and web-based research tools.

Preferred

  • Experience recruiting or managing independent contractors.

  • Knowledge of residential construction, property maintenance, restoration, or home services.

  • Experience working with contractors in trades such as roofing, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, landscaping, handyman services, or general contracting.

  • Experience sourcing candidates across multiple geographic markets.
