Security Clearance Required: A Final DoD Top Secret Clearance
This position does not provide a telework option. Candidate must be willing to work on-site in Patuxent River, MD.

Primary Responsibilities
The candidate will function as a Contractor Special Access Program Security Officer (CSSO) for an advanced research and development (R&D) program. The CSSO will ensure compliance with DoD and DoN security requirements. They will perform security duties and functions. The CSSO will oversee security administration, management, and operations of SAP facilities and maintain secure environments for execution of SAPs. The CSSO considers all aspects of security, to include personnel security, physical security, operations security, communications security, and associated oversight.
The CSSO will:
- Review and maintain contractor SOPs, CONOPs, OPSEC Plans, Security Test Plans, Fixed Facility and TEMPEST Checklists, Access Rosters, etc.
- Ensure facility folders (electronic) have the required documentation, i.e. accreditation letters, co-use agreements, DD254s, etc.
- Support facility security management in the preparation and performance of indoctrinations, briefings, debriefings, and annual refresher training.
- Fulfill the duties of the Accountability Officer and/or Assistant Accountability Officer.
- Fulfill the duties of the Security Administrative Assistant (SAA) and Document Control Officer (DCO) if necessary.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with the Navy Special Access Program Nomination Process (SAPNP).
- Support self-inspection activities including but not limited to, checklist preparation, documentation and process review, corrective action plans, etc.
- Support facility Site Assist Visits (SAVs), compliance inspections, and Close-Outs.
- Preparing/conducting annual inventories of accountable and non-accountable material/media.
- Support foreign travel tracking, monitoring, and trends.
- Support facility security management duties including but not limited to key control management, facility security inspections and assessments, alarm response including implement receipt/dispatch as applicable, and maintaining Intrusion Detection System and other facility security systems operability.
- Maintain DISS accounts to perform all personnel security functions.
- Perform data entry and maintenance of a variety of security databases.
- Perform visitor control, visitor validation, badging, escorting, and meetings support as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education
High School Diploma or GED.
- Candidate must obtain Security Fundamental Professional Certification (SFPC) certification within 1 (one) year of employment and maintain certification for the duration of employment.
Required Experience
- Candidate must have at least three (3) years of security experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of DoD, DoN, ICD policies/directives (e.g., DoD 5205.07, ICD 705, etc.) regarding Personnel, Physical, and Information Security Standards and Procedures.
- Experience working with Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Jads, and JADE.

- Candidate should have excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Candidate should have the ability to provide clear, concise, and accurate oral and written communications.
- Candidate should have experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained, and complex security environment.
